I found this Ad on Kijiji looking for students. This was the ad:
Looking for people to work for 1-2 hours per day. Very easy job. Looking for people to start asap. Contact me for more information.
So I contacted him and got this response:
Hello,
Thanks for your interest. Our company CRM Employment is one of Canada's largest employment brokers. We are looking for people who wish to work 1-2 hours from home posting online employment ads. There is a tutorial that I will send you if you are interested. You will be paid $15 per hour and you will be paid at the end of each month. You can choose the payment method either through PayPal or by Check.
If you are interested add me on msn. I will be on with you everyday and if you have any questions at all you can ask me. So if you would like this job please add me on msn:
al_mcdermot@live.com
We are looking for people to begin working ASAP. Once you have added me I will send you the training materials over msn and we will carry on. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Al McDermot
CRM Employment
Doesn't seem right to me. Is it a scam?
None.
Go for it, but if he asks for anything that you wouldn't want anyone to read, such as a credit card number, tell him where to stick it.

>be faceless void >mfw I have no face
Sounds like one to me. A proper company wouldn't use msn to talk. Amd they would have an @crm email.
Red classic.
"In short, their absurdities are so extreme that it is painful even to quote them."
But you can't lose if you don't give them anything.
Meaning talk to them, try to find out if it's legit, and if they ask for personal stuff, say "yeah, I'd rather not give ___ to you."
It also seems funny to me that he didn't mention what the letters stood for. But, I'm being nitpicky again.
It's a scam, and if someone can prove otherwise, I will eat DTBK's socks.

Mine too?
I so wanna prove this isn't a scam now, but I live in the USA. Most people here don't give a shit about "one of Canada's largest employment brokers", and they'd change the words around a lil anyways.

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO
Sounds to me like they're going to pay you for spamming? lolwut?
fuck you all
lol, when i get things like this what I do is I give them false info.
Just so I can piss them off!

I got this guy like so excited.
It was pretty funny!

Lol I do that with telemarketers sometimes. They get so pissed lol.
But couldn't that be potentially dangerous? Like maybe some of these people do other illegal things like hacking or ID theft or something and might want to take revenge? I would mess with people more often but I'm scared of this..
Oh and yes it sounds like a scam. Just don't make any mistakes with this guy and you have nothing to lose.but what if I added him on msn and he sold my email address?
None.

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO
but what if I added him on msn and he sold my email address?
OH GOD NOOOOOOOOOO NOT YOUR EMAIL ADREESSSS!!!!"!"!1
Make a new one just to add him?
fuck you all
lol these people, are not the hacker types if they were they wouldnt need to "scam" people,
They would just own people.
I had a friend and he use to pay his rent by stealing a peny from people, so no one could notice it. All online....
So you don't need to make scams up.
None.
