Maybe it's because you don't eat that much meat, or anything at all. That slows your metabolism.
Orly. I'm a vegetarian and I have the fastest metabolism ever. I'm 5'10", 120 lbs.

Or are you just a
teenager with a high metabolism?
Win by luck, lose by skill.
However since you're already depressive I know it's impossible for you to get less lazy at this moment and all I can say to you is find a good doctor and tell your family. You can't get out of it on your own, it'll just become worse. That is if you haven't done it already. If you haven't then googling information about your disease is a good start to help you understand what's happening to you.
Wat. You're making it sound like some sort of terrible disease like the plague.
Being depressed doesn't make it impossible to become less lazy ... it's just a slight hindrance. It doesn't even require a doctor unless you plan on over-medicating yourself.

Depression isn't even that big of a deal unless you let it take control (unless I'm just in some sort of denial).
I can go outside and run. I just don't want to.Quit being such a downer, man. ;o

My point wasn't the meat ... Read what he said, and read what I said. Note the parallels.

Well there is depression as in the mood and then there is clinical depression as in the disorder. As a disorder it is treated very seriously by psychologists and shouldn't be confused with the mood, as if it is something they can just brush off. It isn't.
Everybody (including myself) in my immediate family has been treated for depression at some point, except for my oldest sister (that I'm aware of). I don't know much about my extended family in this regard, but I do know some of them have experienced it (and had professional help (drugs

)) too. I, personally, used to be medicated for it, but I quickly decided that it was bullshit and stopped.
I say it is possible to deal with, but I am also generally an optimist.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Private parts summed it up already.
A good sign that you just were in a depressive mood is if you're able to get out of it just with a positive attitude (like it was the case with you apparently).
Sometimes if you do have the disorder type and it's not progressed too far you can still fight it on your own, but if you're feeling down for lets say a year already this will become increasingly unlikely and you'll need professional help.
You'd be surprised how widespread clinical depressions really are. Of course it's not as bad as the plague used to be, but it can kill people too (suicide). The problem is that it's often not recognized (not even by the person having it) until something drastic happens (not necessarily suicide).

Note my words were "deal with it" and not "get over it".

Yes one of the best indicators is that it is ongoing. Clinical depression can happen for rational reasons as well: death of a loved one, etc.
Drugs should only ever be used if there is a chemical imbalance, though be in mind that there has been much controversy amongst the community that think it is far too over-promoted. What I mean is some people use it as a catchall diagnosis.
For the most part I recommend counselling. You may think 'mere talking' would not help but you would be surprised. Just remember don't go to just any counsellor. I'm not sure what it is like over there but in Australia people can call themselves counsellors after a weekend course. But they can't legally call themselves a psychologist unless they have completed a Masters (5 years) or Phd (6 years [which is what I'm doing]).
Hope this helps.
