[EUD] Artful 5vs3 - Fight Back

Hi, SSStand here.

Artful 5vs3 - Defend the 20 waves of enemies attacks and fight back , defeat the Allied Master before the timer is up or
the hope of humanity will be vanished.


Map Status = Complete playable for all 20 waves.
Currently Working = More features , Enrich computer behaviors.
Goal = A multiple ending, multiples times playables.


Glad to present you the map I did, a 5 player vs 3 "CPU" map.

1. Map Status: It is a very early version, but it is a complete map. However, many details need to be polished, and that is my next main objective.

2. EUD? Yes, but currently I just keep the mechanics relatively simple. The EUD frame is up, so it should help with my polishing work.

3. Unit Limit Extended: Since EUD is used, you can only use the original unit limit (the option is grayed out when you host the map). But don't worry, bullet shooting is fixed via EUD, so Valkyries shoot smoothly.

4. What the map is about: It is a classical 5 players vs 3 computer map. In this type of map, the computer always has the advantage at the beginning of the game, making it impossible for players to beat even if the player side is in favor. However, through upgrades, players can overcome the computers.

5. Tools: Scmdraft2.exe, Crossover.app, Whisky.app, euddraft.exe. Yes, I developed this map on Mac. Lol. I would like to use EUD Editor 3, but I can't get it to run...

Main features of this map are:

You get fewer resources. Generally, you have an infinite stacked mineral patch next to the base, and workers can harvest and return very quickly, but that is not the case here. Besides the initial boost mineral and 3 low-amount minerals that are near the base, your workers need to walk a long distance to gather minerals. But you gain minerals automatically over time, so it is fun to choose where to spend the resources first.

If you focus on upgrades, your economy will be slowed. If you go full economy, you had better have a team that covers you, or you will die in the first wave and seem kind of noob to the team :).

The game name somehow implies the plot. Since it is 5vs3, I have thought of a story in which GPT finally reaches AGI and enslaves humanity (something like the novel I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream). You can tell from the names of the enemy buildings (this part needs more effort put into it).

Puzzles: Yeah, puzzles. Since the mentioned novel is the inspiration, you need to figure out how to beat GPT. Oh, I forgot to tell you, in the beginning, there is a timer, so you had better work with your team and pray you guys get enough time to solve the puzzle.

Advanced Spot : the spot 5 is a advanced that has shortest mineral path, so is also a fun part to consider to let the new player use this position,
or let the best player use it.

Rich - Quests, Ability , Waves: we are getting used to upgrade and attack, but thats boring, so i will add more quests that players need to do, in order to unlock the abilites.

Players mineral stacked = 25 ( 50000 each) and 3 close vespene geyser
Map Dimension : 128x128
Estimated play time : 1:20 hour ( there is timer, once timer is up player are defeated )

at mineral path, which will reduce ~10 sec worker walking time.

here comes the v0.3 update.
Still tweaning the mineral path layout, since this is the foundation of the game play,
i am currently happy with current mining ratio, i think i can finally move to enrich
the AM behaviors
