Mechanics ideas:
- Same as Clash Royale, 8 cards randomly shuffled at start; play 1 of 4 cards, once you play a card it goes to bottom of the stack; elixir that fills over time to a max of 10; King Tower and Two Archer Towers
- Tug of war style (AI vs AI) with no micro
- 3 minute games: win instantly by taking down all 3 towers, or win by doing more damage before timer runs out
- Each player chooses their "deck" of 8 cards outside of the vision of the other team, so you don't know what deck you're facing
- Elixir would be stored as Gas and a visual "elixir bar" would be seen filling on the map/minimap by the player/teammate, but not by the opponent
- 1v1 and 2v2 modes (maybe even 3v3 mode)
- Spell casting and/or unit placement could utilize the Place COP mechanism of the Flag Beacon (emulating a tap in Clash Royale)
- Alternatively, unit placement could be accomplished via a very fast moving observer
Unit ideas:
- Ultralisk = Giant, 1/3 speed of normal ultralisk, attacks only buildings (5 elixir)
- Torrasque = Golem, 1/4 speed, upon death splits into 2 golemites (beefy broodlings?), attacks only buildings (8 elixir)
- Zealot = Knight (3 elixir)
- Reaver = Sparky (6 elixir)
- Zergling = Skeleton, 1/2 speed (3 skeletons = 1 elixir)
- Sarah Kerrigan = Witch, spawns skeletons over time (5 elixir)
- Samir Duran = Musketeer (4 elixir)
- Ghost = Archer (2 archers = 3 elixir)
- Devourer = Balloon, attacks only ground buildings (if possible) (5 elixir)
- Tassadar = Wizard, endless psionic storm? (5 elixir)
- Hydralisk = Spear Goblin (3 Spear Goblins = 2 elixir)
- Hydralisk Den = Goblin hut, spawns Spear Goblins over time (5 elixir)
