Situation: After picking hero and 4 spells, you should gain a barrack at either location 047 if you're in Force 1 or location 046 if you're Force2. This very location should be centerviewed and pinged on minimap.
Problem: When doing so, The barrack never become yours, the centerview is made on the mutalisk right under barracks, so is the ping. What's weird is that there is no location there to ping/centerview at... Also it centerview at the exact same spot for both forces...

It's the Location 047 and 046 that act weird. Triggers can be found in Force 1 and 2. (Force1: around 30% of the scrolling bar - Force 2: around 40%)


Edit#2: In case it matters -> I remade the whole map from scratch. I remade the whole terrain (didn't copy). I replaced all the locations, 1 by 1 renaming it as well. Then I copy pasted triggers from original map to this one. I did set the units/upgrades/technologies. Then I worked on fixing the "to long name" strings (mostly overlapping names).
I had to fix some random glitches and remade my EUD for random picking (Hold position civilian).

This causes locations 046 and 047 to move to player 7's Hydalisks below the white barracks at the very start of the game. That's why everything is being centered there.

NudeRaider -- doesn't change much of my argument. That's still 15 years ago. And they went the "lazy" route and used the sc2 engine for, which obviously is more limited (but way quicker) than rendering everything from scratch.

NudeRaider -- That said, I like the gritty look of his more than what they did with the sc2 cinematics where everything is just glowy and polished. This is just more fitting of a war scenario and captures the desperation of the Protoss better..

Oh_Man shouted: how can one person surpass entire video game company, none of SCBW's cinematics got remastered liek this
they weren't really remade, just rerecorded in hd or something. It's now over 25 years after they were made, tools and techniques have improved a lot and are much more accessible.
