According to this site, the United States gets much more than 2% of its oil from the Middle East.

Interestingly enough, Iran isn't in the top 15 suppliers to the US. The US gets a lot more oil from Latin America and Africa than I thought.

With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
