But the editor has an explorer panel in the bottom left that slows the editor down significantly, but it shows a few objects linked to the currently selected one. So you cannot edit the selection area directly. But it is possible to disable the hit-test in the main actor and attach another actor with a smaller transparent model (transparency can be set in actor events).
