I think I'd much rather be raped and live, than have my life taken. So imo the death penalty seems harsh for one-time offenders, especially if they were under the influence of alcohol/drugs. Also what if it turns out the person you put to death was falsely accused? Are we then going to put to death the accuser as well? Even with little to no consequence for falsely accusing someone of rape, they seem reluctant to confess... nevermind that if they know the death penalty is in store for them as well.[2017-4-04. : 6:50 pm] Excalibur -- Not going to comment.
