it's not game mechanics pathing it's about SC's will not be able to find your new tiles. after 65635 entries or so. You're still limited but not that much.

No there shouldn't be, all it does is calls MpqCompactArchive from SFmpq, which you should probably do regularly as you mess with MPQs, details here
