O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- where do you watch it? or do you have actual TV
[2017-11-01. : 5:44 am]
Voyager7456 -- w/e
[2017-11-01. : 5:38 am]
Lanthanide -- that was funny, but that doesn't in any way make up for the terrible permise and godawful predictable plot line
[2017-11-01. : 5:23 am]
Voyager7456 -- "What if they try to corroborate this?" "Don't worry, they won't" was gold
[2017-11-01. : 5:23 am]
Voyager7456 -- Lanthanide
Lanthanide shouted: Voyager7456 episode 7 with the voting planet was so fucking cringey
I thought it was pretty funny

Lanthanide -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: On the other hand there's several cool looking bridge crew members that I don't even know the name of, let alone back stories or personalities. Part of ST has always been about life on a star ship and they introduced the bridge officers as one team working through crisises. You had stories of their struggles in life, so you could relate to them. In Discovery I only see that with Michael, a bit with Lorca and Stamets. The rest are just empty replaceable shells. Yes, also Tilly, because I just can't take her seriously. There's so much potential to build a beautiful new "world" but it's (so far) all sacrificed for edgyness and as much action as possible.
that's because discovery is Trek in name only
[2017-11-01. : 5:12 am]

dumbducky -- What does Moose drive? My money is on a Honda Civic
[2017-10-31. : 11:29 pm]
Moose -- Yeah, it's safer to constantly look 45-60 degrees left all the time in case something sprints out at 30 MPH across a divided highway.
[2017-10-31. : 11:18 pm]
Dem0n -- should have license revoked tbh

[2017-10-31. : 10:48 pm]
Moose -- It kind of sprinted across two lanes and the divider and then into my lane, caught it out of the corner of my eye near the end but not much else I could do. Once they're spooked, all they know is run run run.

NudeRaider -- this is becoming a theme too. Everything develops so fast, you just can't keep up. The role of discovery (from experimental small jumps, to finished tech to lone super weapon that wins the war in 3 episodes), Relationship between first officer and Michael (just a 5 minute talk and they completely trust each other), Stiff chief of engineering suddenly becoming a crazed hippie. This stuff should take several seasons. It feels like they want to pack every fun idea they have into as few episodes as possible to make Discovery seem so fresh and interesting - but in reality they just overwhelm everyone with inconsistencies.
[2017-10-31. : 9:31 am]
NudeRaider -- Voyager7456
Voyager7456 shouted: NudeRaider the "we need you to hook up with Tyler, it's the only way to get the information" was sooooo bad
yeah I feel like I missed a season or two. Michael went from being basically vulcan logic machine to showing a huge bandwidth of emotions and suddenly loving a random crew member that had like 15 minutes screen time from one episode to another. While character development is a good thing, you gotta take your time with it if you want the audience to stay with you.
