[2014-8-09. : 3:16 pm]
BloodyZombie117 -- What year did you play that in though? Parts wear out over time. The computer was 6 years old when I got on it.
[2014-8-09. : 3:14 pm]
Moose -- Even when I had Windows 95 on a 133mhz processor and 16MB of RAM, it didn't take an hour, lol.
[2014-8-09. : 3:13 pm]
BloodyZombie117 -- I meant the OS took an hour to boot up, but games lagged horribly on it... The hardware was total shit. I don't remember the specs though.
[2014-8-09. : 3:11 pm]
Moose -- The hardware in that must have been garbage.
[2014-8-09. : 3:11 pm]
Moose -- I remember playing and mapping SC on Windows 98. It wasn't fast, but it never took an hour to boot up.
[2014-8-09. : 3:06 pm]
BloodyZombie117 -- This wasn't one of those... It was uber slow, took an hour for the thing to actually boot up and be at a point where you could actually start a program.
[2014-8-09. : 2:55 pm]
Roy -- StarCraft was made for playing on '95 computers, though. That's the computer I used to play it.
[2014-8-09. : 2:44 pm]
BloodyZombie117 -- Hey Dem0n. If you think an '05 shitbox of a computer is bad... Imagine playing Starcraft on a '95 computer... I had to use that whenever my dad was on the good one.
[2014-8-09. : 12:06 pm]
lil-Inferno -- Use Genymotion.
[2014-8-09. : 10:59 am]
Generalpie -- The VM is just as slow as before, so I avoid that thing like the plague
[2014-8-09. : 10:59 am]
Generalpie -- I dunno, it could have been my setup
[2014-8-09. : 10:59 am]
Generalpie -- And adb shell wouldn't work because it would always say a shell was being run already, despite that being the very first command after the adb server was run (I adb over wifi instead of usb)
[2014-8-09. : 10:57 am]
Generalpie -- Maybe it's related to the first issue, but I could only run like 4 commands before
[2014-8-09. : 10:57 am]
Generalpie -- And even more odd, the adb commands when set as an environment variable can run commands properly
[2014-8-09. : 10:56 am]
Generalpie -- Maybe it's just my setup
[2014-8-09. : 10:55 am]
Generalpie -- And for some reason, the resource manager doesn't lose packages like ADT used to
[2014-8-09. : 10:54 am]
Generalpie -- I dunno, it seems easier for me
[2014-8-09. : 10:41 am]
Zhuinden -- I'm personally still using the ADT, is the Android Studio really that much better even it being beta? I never really bothered to learn Gradle yet.
[2014-8-09. : 9:52 am]
Generalpie -- And I don't use the ADT Bundle anymore, I use the new Android Studio Beta
[2014-8-09. : 9:51 am]
Generalpie -- Processor*
[2014-8-09. : 9:51 am]
Generalpie -- And the VM is awful unless you use an intel computer, then there should be a booster package
[2014-8-09. : 9:51 am]
Generalpie -- "Dem0n -- I'm on 4.4. Nexus master race." I'm on L. Experimental master race
[2014-8-09. : 7:09 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- the android VM never loads ;o
[2014-8-09. : 6:14 am]
Engineer -- It works pretty well, I think..
[2014-8-09. : 6:12 am]
Engineer -- Has anybody used MapCheck program made by yoonkwun?
[2014-8-09. : 6:12 am]
Lanthanide -- this is more like it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MV1Gl_kPk-k
[2014-8-09. : 6:11 am]
Lanthanide -- that one sort of sounds 'burbly' by comparison
[2014-8-09. : 6:11 am]
Lanthanide -- or at least sometimes, you get some very long sustained warbles that are really loud
[2014-8-09. : 6:11 am]
Lanthanide -- none of the ones I've found on youtube sound like the ones we have here, though
[2014-8-09. : 6:10 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- That video exactly even.
[2014-8-09. : 6:09 am]
Lanthanide -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYEYc8Ge3nw which you've probably already found
[2014-8-09. : 6:07 am]
Lanthanide -- yeah, ours don't do that
[2014-8-09. : 5:56 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Ours do this, except it is really really loud. Especially when it's right outside your window.
[2014-8-09. : 5:54 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I'm going to assume you have Australian magpie. That's the only ones I am finding on youtube ..
[2014-8-09. : 5:53 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Maybe yours actually make a good sound instead of just screeching
[2014-8-09. : 5:48 am]
Lanthanide -- I guess it's a novelty
[2014-8-09. : 5:48 am]
Lanthanide -- I like magpie song, don't really hear it around here much
[2014-8-09. : 5:38 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I used to throw wood chips at them just to make them go away and shut the hell up
[2014-8-09. : 5:37 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- wtf, this lists magpies as songbird. Incessant screeching is no song D:
[2014-8-09. : 5:32 am]
Lanthanide -- and a little blue penguin
[2014-8-09. : 5:32 am]
Lanthanide -- my boyfriend's cat brought home a rabbit once
[2014-8-09. : 5:32 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Needless to say that drove away the magpies.
[2014-8-09. : 5:31 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- My mom's cat used to eat baby magpies .. the adults would be too big to catch.
[2014-8-09. : 5:31 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Oh, it just says in the crow family.
[2014-8-09. : 5:30 am]
Lanthanide -- haast's eagles would be able to carry off children if they were still around
[2014-8-09. : 5:30 am]
Lanthanide -- weird
[2014-8-09. : 5:30 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Wikipedia tells me magpies are crows, but an Australian magpie is not a crow
[2014-8-09. : 5:29 am]
Lanthanide -- he's 14 weeks old so would be too big for a magpie (about the same size, or maybe slightly larger)
[2014-8-09. : 5:29 am]
Lanthanide -- we don't have crows, but do have magpies
[2014-8-09. : 5:28 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- ... I don't know what birds you have.
[2014-8-09. : 5:28 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Well, even like a magpie or maybe a crow could carry off a kitten.
[2014-8-09. : 5:24 am]
Lanthanide -- these use to exist though, and eat moas (like big emus): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haast's_eagle
[2014-8-09. : 5:23 am]
Lanthanide -- no, we have no such birds of prey here
[2014-8-09. : 5:21 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Or a hawk, or similar
[2014-8-09. : 5:21 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Was it carried off by an eagle?
[2014-8-09. : 5:07 am]
Lanthanide -- just took my kitten outside for the first time
[2014-8-09. : 5:05 am]
Dem0n -- but I need my alcohol :drunk:
[2014-8-09. : 4:56 am]
Moose -- Ugh, I have no idea what I did with the screws for the sides of my case. The smart thing to do would've been to put them back in without attaching the sides, but I wasn't smart when I took it apart. >_<
[2014-8-09. : 4:48 am]
Moose -- Fuck wheels, get money
[2014-8-09. : 4:47 am]
Moose -- You hear that, Dem0n? Make money, stop buying cars and alcohol.
[2014-8-09. : 4:46 am]
Heinermann -- I've been making money and I don't buy alcohol or own a car.
[2014-8-09. : 4:40 am]
Moose -- Customizing hardware? Doesn't sound cheap.
[2014-8-09. : 4:39 am]
Heinermann -- I'd rather be able to customize my laptop's hardware. I was able to do it through Dell with this one, and it's about 3 years old. I'm thinking of getting my next one once I graduate.
[2014-8-09. : 4:25 am]
Dem0n -- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834231727 that is very nice though :awesome:
[2014-8-09. : 4:25 am]
Moose -- Well, it looked for you, and didn't like you either.
[2014-8-09. : 4:19 am]
Dem0n -- I did look for it, but I didn't really like it.
[2014-8-09. : 4:18 am]
ShadowFlare -- Chromebooks do have some local storage, though I don't know how much, and what you can store is limited to the Chrome apps that have the capability to be used offline.
[2014-8-09. : 4:17 am]
Moose -- Hm, it's probably safe to put the sides of my case on now, lel
[2014-8-09. : 4:17 am]
Fire_Kame -- for someone who knows exactly what they want did you even look for it? :|
