Moose -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: NudeRaider sure, but it's still a convenience that no casting is required in various situations
Now you know why I end up writing PHP to output triggers for me lel
[2014-10-26. : 4:15 pm]
NudeRaider -- I was going to say "nuuuu when you have a gui you usually need types like char or string and this is the role model of tedious to work with on a raw byte" but I guess when you're doing assembly you're not going to do gui stuff. Will usually be just moving pointers around and stuff in which case you're right.
[2014-10-26. : 4:12 pm]
jjf28 -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: but in assembly the lack of typcasting doesn't doesn't come from implicit casting but from lack of types. And that certainly makes using variables that would have a different type in a higher language (char, long int, etc.) more tedious.
sure, but it's still a convenience that no casting is required in various situations
[2014-10-26. : 4:11 pm]
NudeRaider -- nobody taught me machine code. And I wouldn't learn either on my own accord :P
[2014-10-26. : 4:11 pm]
jjf28 -- too many negatives
[2014-10-26. : 4:11 pm]
Moose -- I still don't know why you guys bother with assembly when you can do machine code
[2014-10-26. : 4:11 pm]
jjf28 -- now that I think of it I used it in the negative
[2014-10-26. : 4:10 pm]
NudeRaider -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: wait mutually exclusive is the wrong word, a language could lack both, but meh
e.g. assembly :P
[2014-10-26. : 4:10 pm]
NudeRaider -- but in assembly the lack of typcasting doesn't doesn't come from implicit casting but from lack of types. And that certainly makes using variables that would have a different type in a higher language (char, long int, etc.) more tedious.

jjf28 -- wait mutually exclusive is the wrong word, a language could lack both, but meh
[2014-10-26. : 4:03 pm]
jjf28 -- I was being serious, but the intent behind the statement was fun :)
[2014-10-26. : 4:03 pm]
Moose -- C++11, just gotta auto everything, see if the compiler knows~!
[2014-10-26. : 4:02 pm]
jjf28 -- the lack of typecasting reduces tedium, and a lack of types and a lack of typecasting are not mutually exclusive (could all be done all implicitly)
[2014-10-26. : 4:00 pm]
Moose -- I don't think he was being serious
[2014-10-26. : 3:49 pm]
NudeRaider -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: "something I didn't say" probably wouldn't count as making things less tedious. :P
I don't understand. Unless you're saying that's not what you meant. Then sorry. But it looked like you were giving an aspect of reduced tedium of assembly.
[2014-10-26. : 6:16 am]
DT_Battlekruser -- Dem0n
Dem0n shouted: I'm moving into a brand new apartment next year where my rent's going to jump from its current $430 to $899 because I'm a materialistic dickhead who needs all new things.
oh the rest of the country where houses are free
[2014-10-26. : 5:53 am]
Azrael -- Win/win.
[2014-10-26. : 5:53 am]
Azrael -- Then you get the best language and the best IDE.
[2014-10-26. : 5:52 am]
Azrael -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Which is better?
It sucks that those are your only choices. You should code in C# so you can use Visual Studio.
[2014-10-26. : 5:26 am]
jjf28 -- puush cut the curves :O
[2014-10-26. : 5:12 am]

Moose -- Have you tried harsh chemicals that will kill you better than they kill dirt?!
[2014-10-26. : 1:44 am]
Dem0n -- We also have a large mice/dickroach infestation. I've killed 10+ roaches in the past week alone
[2014-10-26. : 1:44 am]

[2014-10-26. : 1:41 am]
Moose -- So what are you doing for appliances now?
[2014-10-26. : 1:41 am]
Dem0n -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Yeah, a big jump in income would be nice to go along with that. Unless you've been living well beneath your means for awhile for some reason.
Well I don't pay for my rent right now (my dad does), so when I move into this aparment, I'll just split the cost of it with him
[2014-10-26. : 1:40 am]
Dem0n -- lil-Inferno
lil-Inferno shouted: Dem0n That sounds dumb.

[2014-10-26. : 1:39 am]
Moose -- Yeah, a big jump in income would be nice to go along with that. Unless you've been living well beneath your means for awhile for some reason.

Dem0n -- I'm moving into a brand new apartment next year where my rent's going to jump from its current $430 to $899 because I'm a materialistic dickhead who needs all new things.
[2014-10-26. : 1:29 am]
