[2014-12-10. : 12:42 am]
lil-Inferno -- Dem0n
Dem0n shouted: are you guys blind or something X^ D
It's not the small size of stuff that puts me off, it's the fact that I'm used to moving my cursor in fullscreen so it's weird to move it in windowed.
[2014-12-10. : 12:34 am]
NudeRaider -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: Oh, you mean at work? I can't use flash drives or download anything at work.

Jack -- brute force > yo mom
[2014-12-09. : 11:21 pm]
Jack -- welp I just did a recursive node-counting function instead of pascal's triangle
[2014-12-09. : 11:15 pm]
Moose -- BUT THAT'S SPOILERS
[2014-12-09. : 11:15 pm]
Moose -- Using the triangle is on the right track towards solving that problem
[2014-12-09. : 11:14 pm]
Moose -- It's also not, but still
[2014-12-09. : 11:13 pm]
Moose -- Jack
Jack shouted: so projecteuler #15 is just the 200th row of pascal's triangle, centre value
Shhhh, you're giving away answers :P
[2014-12-09. : 11:12 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- We are now accepting callers for these pendant key chains.
[2014-12-09. : 11:12 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- We are building a religion, a limited edition.
[2014-12-09. : 11:10 pm]
Jack -- so projecteuler #15 is just the 200th row of pascal's triangle, centre value
[2014-12-09. : 11:08 pm]
Moose -- Jack
Jack shouted: wait so a binomial coefficient is just pascal's triangle
Yes, numbers from Pascal's Triangle, combinations, and binomial coefficients are all the same.
[2014-12-09. : 11:08 pm]
Moose -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: I understood one thing you once said, since I've listened to Cake before. :P
:farty: YES
[2014-12-09. : 11:07 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I understood one thing you once said, since I've listened to Cake before. :P
[2014-12-09. : 11:07 pm]
Jack -- wait so a binomial coefficient is just pascal's triangle
[2014-12-09. : 11:07 pm]
Moose -- Though in fairness, people must think the same about me.
[2014-12-09. : 11:06 pm]
Moose -- Me neither, so I kind of just accept that he says a lot of strange things at random.
[2014-12-09. : 11:06 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Though I've never seen game of thrones, so I can't say I understand the reference
[2014-12-09. : 11:05 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: lose your nerves, in game of thrones speakish
I'm pretty sure to unman is to castrate. ;o

NudeRaider shouted: why can't you farty?
NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: if it's the installation take a cracked version over on a thumb drive
NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: if it's the graphics you're worried about, play an older civ
what? I'm not sure what you're referring to
[2014-12-09. : 10:20 pm]
Moose -- MasterJohnny
MasterJohnny shouted: all other problems seem hard
Yeah, you reach a point where further problems start to seem ridiculous. MasterJohnny
MasterJohnny shouted: no its not the math its the programming
Sounds about right for ProjectEuler.
[2014-12-09. : 9:28 pm]
Corbo -- Anyone here know jQuery?
[2014-12-09. : 8:58 pm]
Jack -- #2 is ezpz

jjf28 -- lose your nerves, in game of thrones speakish
[2014-12-09. : 8:55 pm]
MasterJohnny -- I'm trying to do #2 but I think its matlab's fault that I keep getting the wrong answer
[2014-12-09. : 8:54 pm]
MasterJohnny -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: Are you unmanned by the math, Johnny?
I have no idea what this means
[2014-12-09. : 8:21 pm]
jjf28 -- Are you unmanned by the math, Johnny?
[2014-12-09. : 7:58 pm]
Jack -- It takes a couple of weeks to get used to but after that it becomes completely natural
[2014-12-09. : 7:58 pm]
Jack -- SC windowed works best if you change your screen resolution down to, say, 800x600 so that the window fills most of the screen
[2014-12-09. : 7:58 pm]
Jack -- Also, there is a multiinstance starcraft exe around
[2014-12-09. : 7:58 pm]
Jack -- Well, there were two, one was awful but hellinsect's resolution hack was really good
[2014-12-09. : 7:57 pm]
Jack -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: Not exactly, but there was a mod that did something similar: It had 4 windows of the starcraft screen, stitched together, so it was like increasing resolution and thus seeing more of the map at once. Though it was laggy and thus not continued, its core might help you achieve what you want.
It got vastly improved, 0 lag when I last used it and you could use it at any resolution.
[2014-12-09. : 7:13 pm]
MasterJohnny -- all other problems seem hard
[2014-12-09. : 7:13 pm]
MasterJohnny -- I have done projecteuler problems 1,3,5,9,10
[2014-12-09. : 6:28 pm]
payne -- no words from ToA ? :(
[2014-12-09. : 6:21 pm]
Dem0n -- Who wants to play in 640x480 on 20"+ monitor (or 15"+ for laptops)?
[2014-12-09. : 6:20 pm]
Dem0n -- are you guys blind or something X^ D
[2014-12-09. : 6:20 pm]
Devourer -- Feels unnatural
[2014-12-09. : 6:20 pm]
Dem0n -- what
[2014-12-09. : 5:59 pm]
lil-Inferno -- I still find that uncomfortable.
[2014-12-09. : 5:57 pm]
NudeRaider -- You just have to enable the option that the mouse cursor can't leave the window.
[2014-12-09. : 5:56 pm]
NudeRaider -- Window mode x2 is the best thing. It was the sole reason I used Chaoslauncher
[2014-12-09. : 5:45 pm]
lil-Inferno -- Nah I can sort of move units a bit.
[2014-12-09. : 5:29 pm]
Devourer -- lil-Inferno
lil-Inferno shouted: I find it hard to play SC windowed.
impossible*
[2014-12-09. : 5:15 pm]
lil-Inferno -- I find it hard to play SC windowed.
[2014-12-09. : 4:30 pm]
NudeRaider -- Not exactly, but there was a mod that did something similar: It had 4 windows of the starcraft screen, stitched together, so it was like increasing resolution and thus seeing more of the map at once. Though it was laggy and thus not continued, its core might help you achieve what you want.
[2014-12-09. : 3:46 pm]
Devourer -- Not that easily I guess :(
[2014-12-09. : 3:37 pm]
twilight_marine -- hey guys s it possible to run multiple brood war at once? like multiboxing?
[2014-12-09. : 3:30 pm]
lil-Inferno -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: lol my RA signed off an email as "your glorious leader"
Do you go to school in North Korea?
[2014-12-09. : 11:56 am]
Devourer -- Sen is fast again :)
[2014-12-09. : 11:42 am]
Moose -- Corbo
Corbo shouted: People still use matlab?
Corbo
Corbo shouted: I don't know, it just seems so far behind to me... I used it in a class I took like... 4 years ago? Then again, I am not a math major...
Some people use MATLAB and some companies use it, though the cost of a MATLAB license is pretty scary. Whether or not they should use MATLAB is another issue. :P
[2014-12-09. : 11:33 am]
Moose -- Jack
Jack shouted: how to do large numbers with C T_T
Jack
Jack shouted: problem 13 killing me, long long int not long enough
Yeah, that's the thing with some of those problems, you end up fighting with the language instead of being productive. IIRC, I didn't actually write a program for #13. But, I did use an array of numbers to represent digits of large numbers in some other problems.
[2014-12-09. : 9:36 am]
NudeRaider -- if it's the graphics you're worried about, play an older civ
[2014-12-09. : 9:33 am]
