When spawning units in that location, you want to have a condition that checks for how many units are there already, and only create the units if there's less than X amount of units (let's say 9-25, you can tweak that as needed based on what works). Then you have another trigger which moves units from the spawning location to the player's defensive area and orders them to move to the end place. This effectively prevents unit unplaceable errors because the condition checks for quantity of units in the spawning area and simply doesn't do anything if there are too many units there. Trying to move units to a location they can't be moved to doesn't create any real issues. To keep track of the units that have spawned, you'd probably have a DC like "unit spawn count" or something like that which subtracts only when units are created (not moved). Doing everything I can to eliminate the possibility of unit unplaceable error have a dedicated spawning area away from the action. Once created you move the units to the battlefield. Only spawn if the spawning area is clear. That way you never get unplaceable errors. Mostly it's just killing units to use their death animation as an effect. There's also some neat things you can do with certain sprites, like the psi field one can be good for making things look underwater. Disable doodad state on certain structures can produce interesting effects, like beacons will still show their glow when disabled, but not the rest of the beacon. Or burning buildings will still show their flame. Sometimes death effects can be stacked if you use an air unit and a ground unit, like a wraith and a rhynadon placed on the same location and killed at the same time will produce a red explosion with a green aura around it.[2024-8-23. : 6:22 pm] Oh_Man -- i just uploaded like 20k maps onto bounding dot net; anyone wanna try and beat that?[2024-8-23. : 10:28 am] NudeRaider -- not sure what you mean with "try effects" but if you have specific questions about how to do something you can ask in UMS Assistance.
