Mapping requires a strong passion for SC as well as an even stronger devotion to your work. Avoid instant gratification by keeping the work in secret for a while. Set directions/goals for the map, and stick to them. Like damn, I didn't know Warcraft III is THAT popular especially over World of Warcraft.
