[2016-5-09. : 6:17 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Dem0nDem0n shouted: Why does everyone on SEN have mommy and daddy issues? smh I don't ;o[2016-5-09. : 4:47 am] Corbo -- Engineers have it worse, though, they actually have to work, we just get the money ![]() [2016-5-09. : 4:45 am] Corbo -- and by required I mean, even if I could do the math, we're just legally binded to hire an engineer and certify a building will not fall on top of people ![]() [2016-5-09. : 4:44 am] Corbo -- And mainly because I am confusing it with moment in a beam for some reason and deflection. I am just remembering my structures classes now where we had to integrate some very complicated stuff in order to calculate something that in real life is worthless to an architect that is required to hire an engineer to do the math anyway ![]() [2016-5-09. : 4:41 am] Corbo -- just plan for estimated max? That should do it. You'll probably have to calculate the torque with some cool physics I don't remember right now ![]() [2016-5-09. : 4:29 am] TiKels -- It's just so hard to predict the weights. Especially given that the rotational one will have to work with a range of inertias[2016-5-09. : 4:10 am] Corbo -- TiKelsTiKels shouted: I wanna be able to design it ahead of time but I need to know more about the hardware. Maybe buy one just to learn what I don't need If you're going to buy one I suggest plan right now, like, i don't know what you're making but if you're making that one table I have a feeling you're going to be dealing with really small motors so, do like a pre-planning phase so you actually buy somewhat what you'll be needing and don't end up with a huge motor that will obviously behave differently than an small one.[2016-5-09. : 4:04 am] Corbo -- TiKelsTiKels shouted: How do I know how quiet they'll be? Could I sound proof them? Also you can pretty much sound proof everything you just need the proper insulation[2016-5-09. : 4:03 am] Corbo -- I'm not sure how many manufacturers include sound output in their SMs specs, though.[2016-5-09. : 4:02 am] Corbo -- All that you mention is basically in the specificacion sheet for whatever SM you're contemplating. Obviously you could rig them to operate with less voltage in order to make them quieter but that will also make them less efficient in a way that they won't be able to generate as much torque as they should be able to in max capacity. Usually they come with a min operating voltage and a max. You'll have to consider what kind of weight or "thing" are they going to move and plan ahead, like you said.[2016-5-09. : 3:44 am] Voyager7456 -- TiKelsTiKels shouted: Fire_Kame i wanna make one of these. http://i.imgur.com/EXjSy60.gifv I'm fucking tripping balls[2016-5-09. : 3:37 am] TiKels -- I wanna be able to design it ahead of time but I need to know more about the hardware. Maybe buy one just to learn what I don't need[2016-5-09. : 3:35 am] TiKels -- Like i'd imagine the amount of torque they put out is important? If I want smoother movement probably use a big gear ratio?[2016-5-09. : 3:34 am] TiKels -- I've programmed stepper motors before but I've never picked out the parts. I don't even know what specs are relevant[2016-5-09. : 3:33 am] TiKels -- Fire_KameFire_Kame shouted: Y i wanna make one of these. http://i.imgur.com/EXjSy60.gifv[2016-5-09. : 3:13 am] Corbo -- TiKelsTiKels shouted: Corbo Without showering you in questions, what should I read? i never did anything more than making them rotate in one or another direction and for that I only read some manufacturer's specs for the motors I did not know as much programming as I know right now and I basically know nothing right now too so.... you really should be asking farty or doodle ;o[2016-5-09. : 2:55 am] TiKels -- I'd like to be able to pre-program stepper motors to move in unison on pre-designed paths,[2016-5-09. : 2:54 am] jjf28 -- I mean you can get bent the other way, but it might ramp up this sites parental guidance rating[2016-5-09. : 2:54 am] TiKels -- CorboCorbo shouted: TiKels I have. Without showering you in questions, what should I read?[2016-5-09. : 2:53 am] Fire_Kame -- VraelVrael shouted: Fire_Kame "get bent" nice havent heard that one in a while I felt "fucking clod" was too severe for the occasion[2016-5-09. : 2:53 am] jjf28 -- VraelVrael shouted: Fire_Kame "get bent" nice havent heard that one in a while http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lu8u563QRD1qcc9xqo1_500.png imo[2016-5-09. : 2:52 am] Vrael -- Fire_KameFire_Kame shouted: Get bent Corbo "get bent" nice havent heard that one in a while[2016-5-09. : 2:51 am] BeatMeistro -- Only difference is the Wii U was just a huge tablet that doubles as a tv.[2016-5-09. : 2:51 am] Moose -- CorboCorbo shouted: Now, my got episode finished downloading. bye bye rage[2016-5-09. : 2:51 am] Vrael -- CorboCorbo shouted: How does one fail classes? easy, just dont go to any of the classes, dont do the homework, and bomb all the exams[2016-5-09. : 2:51 am] Fire_Kame -- Also Ex, I work heavily with CC processing and our company has Offices In CO so I had to make sure it wasn't your company ![]() [2016-5-09. : 2:50 am] jjf28 -- CorboCorbo shouted: Now, my got episode finished downloading. bye bye jjf28jjf28 shouted: Corbo no. it may not be given that capitalization[2016-5-09. : 2:49 am] Corbo -- TiKelsTiKels shouted: Have any of you messed with stepper motors and related tech like arduino I have.[2016-5-09. : 2:49 am] jjf28 -- CorboCorbo shouted: Now, my got episode finished downloading. bye bye no.[2016-5-09. : 2:49 am] TiKels -- Have any of you messed with stepper motors and related tech like arduino[2016-5-09. : 2:49 am] Corbo -- Mini Moose 2707Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Corbo OH SHIT I don't really care enough tho. Yeah, the guy I took my certifications with did that for SIEMENS. Installed servers, server migrations, mainly communication projects really. He explained a lot of what his executed projects were.[2016-5-09. : 2:47 am] Moose -- CorboCorbo shouted: geez, women take things so personal even the simplest of the questions OH SHIT![]() [2016-5-09. : 2:46 am] Corbo -- geez, women take things so personal even the simplest of the questions ![]() [2016-5-09. : 2:46 am] BeatMeistro -- lil-Infernolil-Inferno shouted: BeatMeistro It's kinda vague what you mean by standard game pad IMO Yeah, i mean thinking about it, it's kinda odd to say what should be the default button set up for these things. I mean, the PS4,Wii U and Xbox one all kinda share similar features. (Shoulder Pads,Four Face Buttons,Two Analog Sticks... Etc.)[2016-5-09. : 2:46 am] Excalibur -- CorboCorbo shouted: Excalibur Cool. Really does sound like a huge project Project manager mainly planned server migrations, was main customer point of contact, and planned rollouts of upgrades for major customers.![]() [2016-5-09. : 2:45 am] Corbo -- ExcaliburExcalibur shouted: I'm phone support and country-wide installations for a company that does POS systems, CC processing, financial reporting/management, and timing controllers. We mainly handle car washes. Our tech manager moved to programming and our project manager got fired. Cool. Really does sound like a huge project ![]() [2016-5-09. : 2:43 am] Corbo -- she's just into project management cause she took some classes or something[2016-5-09. : 2:42 am] Excalibur -- I'm phone support and country-wide installations for a company that does POS systems, CC processing, financial reporting/management, and timing controllers.
