I can't find the version with the original audio (since it used copyrighted songs), and the replaced audio is not great, but here's the animation: https://youtu.be/IongGKYHMEI oh I remember that. and stick figure animations in general.[2024-11-29. : 1:33 am] ClansAreForGays -- https://tcgplayer-cdn.tcgplayer.com/product/31799_in_1000x1000.jpg[2024-11-28. : 5:22 pm] NudeRaider -- I love how Roy's AI drawn hand turkey accurately has trouble with the amount of fingers[2024-11-28. : 11:14 am] RIVE -- RoyRoy shouted: As an aside, I believe The Pan was inspired by an old 2003 stick animation by the same name. I can't find the version with the original audio (since it used copyrighted songs), and the replaced audio is not great, but here's the animation: https://youtu.be/IongGKYHMEI This is try-hard 2007 at best. No one respectively says 2003 and means it.[2024-11-28. : 9:52 am] Oh_Man -- y did ppl stop making those sick stick figure animations, even i remember making a couple at school bak in the day[2024-11-28. : 9:48 am] Oh_Man -- yeah, some maps benefit more than others for a respawn system, for sure[2024-11-28. : 9:30 am] Roy -- As an aside, I believe The Pan was inspired by an old 2003 stick animation by the same name. It's just that people can lose very quickly here that it's noticeable. Nobody complains that Sunken Defense doesn't restart when you fail to kill the wave.[2024-11-28. : 9:23 am] Roy -- A couple reasons: first, it helps the map spread if people have to rehost it to try again. Second, and probably the greater contributing factor: it's easier to just end the game than to manage and reset state.[2024-11-28. : 9:17 am] Oh_Man -- sooo many of these maps just boot u back to lobby, so annoying, why did ppl never value the respawn system??[2024-11-28. : 9:09 am] Roy -- Oh_ManOh_Man shouted: do you know any bound that has a constantly scrolling camera that u must keep up with? The Pan, Infinite Shift, and Yoshi's Bound are the OG maps. Dash 1 is similar to those, and Dash 2 onward are more created to my preferences. If I had to pick one to recommend, Dash X is probably the most polished and not too difficult. If you're playing solo: Dash 7, Dash 8, and Dash X can be completed without co-op. I also have a couple easier variants called Jog.[2024-11-27. : 5:17 am] lil-Inferno -- Oh_ManOh_Man shouted: do you know any bound that has a constantly scrolling camera that u must keep up with? Dash[2024-11-26. : 4:20 pm] Oh_Man -- do you know any bound that has a constantly scrolling camera that u must keep up with?[2024-11-25. : 5:52 pm] Oh_Man -- https://youtu.be/pn_IG2uU_cs incredible map - is this a new genre??[2024-11-17. : 4:39 pm] Ultraviolet -- VraelVrael shouted: maybe we have no idea or basis to draw any conclusions like what has a good chance or doesnt I believeeeeeeeeeeeeeee[2024-11-17. : 10:24 am] NudeRaider -- humans are are way too insignificant to be noticeable on a galaxy scale[2024-11-16. : 7:47 pm] l)ark_ssj9kevin -- I want to see evidence of galaxies talking to each other like "sup milky way how's your gut health doing" "not too good man those fucking humans won't stop polluting"[2024-11-16. : 6:02 pm] Vrael -- maybe we have no idea or basis to draw any conclusions like what has a good chance or doesnt[2024-11-16. : 5:37 pm] Ultraviolet -- to expand on your idea, I'd argue that there's a good chance the stuff bigger than what is observable to us could exist outside of the standard constraints that we've come to accept about the universe. They may or may not be physical in nature and may or may not be bound by things like chronological time[2024-11-16. : 5:34 pm] Ultraviolet -- Oh_ManOh_Man shouted: we exist in a 'middle earth" where there are many things orders of magnitude smaller than us, microbes, viruses, atoms, quarks, planck length bringing a whole new meaning to LotR[2024-11-16. : 3:33 pm] Oh_Man -- well, wat if we just can't see the other bigger things, and that the big bang and our universe is just another small thing in comparison to even bigger things[2024-11-16. : 3:32 pm] Oh_Man -- then there are things way larger than us, planets, solar systems, galaxies, local clusters, observable unverse[2024-11-16. : 3:32 pm] Oh_Man -- we exist in a 'middle earth" where there are many things orders of magnitude smaller than us, microbes, viruses, atoms, quarks, planck length[2024-11-16. : 4:28 am] Vrael -- though actually repeating nearly verbatim information from its training set should be mostly correct[2024-11-16. : 4:02 am] Oh_Man -- omg, i'm using it to break down quantum randomness to me in layman's terms, it's incredible wat cant it do[2024-11-16. : 3:46 am] Oh_Man -- omg, u can use chatgpt to convert any arguments u read into syllogistic logic. this wuld hav been so handy back wen i was debating christians in 09[2024-11-16. : 1:53 am] Ultraviolet -- VraelVrael shouted: I would have prefered economic growth and NATO stability to some memes I'm hopeful we can have it all.[2024-11-14. : 5:57 pm] Oh_Man -- i just realised this is actually really bad for first contact and interstellar civilisations - if we run into species with thoroughly different moral values how the hell do we avoid conflict[2024-11-14. : 5:53 pm] Oh_Man -- man chatgpt never ceases to amaze me, just casually thinkin up three really cool ideas for alien races with unique cultures, u culd make ur own star trek with this[2024-11-14. : 5:53 pm] Oh_Man -- 3. The Collective Mind: Imagine a hive-mind alien species, the Nixari, who operate as a collective consciousness where individual Nixari beings lack separate consciousness and autonomy. When a Nixari being is killed or sacrificed, the collective mind doesn't view it as the death of a person but simply as the reallocation of resources.[2024-11-14. : 5:52 pm] Oh_Man -- 2. Honor-Based Conflict Resolution: Another example could involve a warrior alien culture, the Vorath, who resolve conflicts through ritualized combat to the death. In Vorath society, this "death duel" is not only permissible but an expected way to defend honor and resolve major disputes. Refusing to engage might be viewed as cowardly or dishonorable, while victory through killing brings respect and stability to the social hierarchy.[2024-11-14. : 5:52 pm] Oh_Man -- ^ I asked it to concieve of an alien race where murderr would be not morally reprehensible but in fact either morally obligatory, morally permissible, or merely amoral, and that's what it came up with[2024-11-14. : 5:51 pm] Oh_Man -- 1. The Overpopulation Dilemma: Imagine an alien species, the Xarxians, whose planet has limited resources, high reproductive rates, and strict carrying capacity. To survive and prevent catastrophic overpopulation, the Xarxians have developed a ritualized, state-regulated system where individuals are required to kill in a controlled manner to maintain the population balance.[2024-11-14. : 5:51 pm] Oh_Man -- ok i ran it through chatgpt and chatgpt assured me i haddnt had an original thought, oh well, maybe one day |
