[2016-9-06. : 7:26 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- unless whoever is doing it is just driving so far in to the grass that they just drive over the rocs[2016-9-06. : 7:26 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I just moved the rocks on to the driveway, so if you even get to the edge of the pavement you'll hit them before the sprinkler[2016-9-06. : 7:23 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- like it's a really skinny driveway, but also you don't need to do anything but back straight out[2016-9-06. : 7:21 pm] NudeRaider -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: it's right next to the driveway was about to say how this would be an excuse but then you said this FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: also, idfk [2016-9-06. : 7:06 pm] Dem0n -- How the fuck are people driving such that they're running over a sprinkler in grass?[2016-9-06. : 6:46 pm] jjf28 -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: how can I stop people from running over the sprinkler head near the end of our driveway? I put a bunch of big rocks around it, but it got run over anyway and I'm sick of fixing it cover with a used spike-strip[2016-9-06. : 6:37 pm] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- how can I stop people from running over the sprinkler head near the end of our driveway? I put a bunch of big rocks around it, but it got run over anyway and I'm sick of fixing it[2016-9-06. : 4:34 pm] Fire_Kame -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: Fire_Kame if you expect that, then this game is for you, especially since it has no multiplayer yet, so it's pretty likely that you'll never be found (unless they add it like they announced and you update) oh I thought it was mostly an mmo. Shows how well I keep up[2016-9-06. : 4:32 pm] NudeRaider -- Fire_KameFire_Kame shouted: But anyway, I've been suggesting to all my friends let down by No Man'so Sky to go play The Ur Quan Masters. ![]() [2016-9-06. : 4:31 pm] NudeRaider -- Fire_KameFire_Kame shouted: Grind endlessly on my own planet that no one else will ever find? That sounds fucking incredible if you expect that, then this game is for you, especially since it has no multiplayer yet, so it's pretty likely that you'll never be found (unless they add it like they announced and you update)[2016-9-06. : 4:30 pm] Fire_Kame -- But anyway, I've been suggesting to all my friends let down by No Man'so Sky to go play The Ur Quan Masters.[2016-9-06. : 4:29 pm] Fire_Kame -- Grind endlessly on my own planet that no one else will ever find? That sounds fucking incredible[2016-9-06. : 4:28 pm] Fire_Kame -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: wow @ Demon (and lil a bit) oversimplification much? The biggest problem with the game is not the diversity of the content (which actually is sufficiently high), it's the diversity of the GAMEPLAY. After like 15 hours it's a stupid grind for resources with no comfort functions like seeing which resources a planet has or auto building your fuel. tbh that makes it sound more appealing. Wouldn't spend 60 bucks on it though[2016-9-06. : 1:32 pm] lil-Inferno -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: LoveLess the difference is, today games never leave beta. A while ago games were delivered complete, and to keep the fan base interested or to keep the good name they added patches that made the game more enjoyable as well as fixing bugs. Games were delivered complete because that's your only option when delivering to a console without Internet access or w/e. Games are also a lot larger in scale and scope now C|X^ D[2016-9-06. : 1:30 pm] lil-Inferno -- Dem0nDem0n shouted: Even shit like Halo which I'd normally like wait in line at midnight to buy. I wanted nothing to do with the fifth one. Shit just sucks nowadays. You also aren't at an age where you still appreciate vidya as much as you used to. You have too much experience with really good games that your expectations are high AF[2016-9-06. : 12:21 pm] NudeRaider -- LoveLessLoveLess shouted: That's the worst thing though, that games have been out for years could still be considered beta. They are still missing features that were said to be there on release, and it's not there, thus beta. the difference is, today games never leave beta. A while ago games were delivered complete, and to keep the fan base interested or to keep the good name they added patches that made the game more enjoyable as well as fixing bugs.[2016-9-06. : 12:12 pm] jjf28 -- Dem0nDem0n shouted: You can only add so much variation with 64 variables cmmon brah, SHA3 a couple 64-bit numbers ![]() [2016-9-06. : 8:45 am] LoveLess -- Then they cut out things that made the game sound fun: searching for resources, there is what like 5 that matter? A[2016-9-06. : 8:44 am] LoveLess -- Then comparing them to what they played, long after the angry rage phase. We all pretty much agreed on something: We were expecting the planets to be much smaller in actually size but far more varied. It seems like they tried too hard to stretch out the generation over a whole planet that they didn't consider a smaller template might be better.[2016-9-06. : 8:43 am] LoveLess -- When I talked to everyone I knew on my FL that had bought NMS and what their initial thoughts were before purchase.[2016-9-06. : 8:41 am] LoveLess -- That's the worst thing though, that games have been out for years could still be considered beta. They are still missing features that were said to be there on release, and it's not there, thus beta.[2016-9-06. : 6:13 am] NudeRaider -- yeah I even waited for a few patches even when games weren't beta at release, just because they often added nice features and there's always games to play. No need to get a certain one right away.[2016-9-06. : 5:47 am] Dem0n -- Even shit like Halo which I'd normally like wait in line at midnight to buy. I wanted nothing to do with the fifth one. Shit just sucks nowadays.[2016-9-06. : 5:47 am] Dem0n -- I don't really get why people buy games immediately when they come out anymore. You can't trust the developers to give you a good product at all.[2016-9-06. : 5:46 am] NudeRaider -- It's pretty much why Star Citizen will inevitably be a disappointment for me. I expect it to be an uber game which it will most likely never become to contraints like money time and technical. But I do hope they'll soon get something released that's not considered beta or alpha.[2016-9-06. : 5:41 am] NudeRaider -- Dem0nDem0n shouted: tbh idk why anyone thought it was going to be a good game LMAO this ![]() [2016-9-06. : 5:41 am] NudeRaider -- > "People are freaking out over the release version way too much" >>> well, then don't call it a finished game and demand full price.[2016-9-06. : 5:40 am] NudeRaider -- That's another aspect many people expected (I didn't, necessarily): More freedom to create stuff. Like in Minecraft, etc.[2016-9-06. : 5:26 am] Dem0n -- And tbh most games where you do this type of stuff (Minecraft, Terraria, etc) start off incredibly barren and have more features added via patches. People are freaking out over the release version way too much[2016-9-06. : 5:26 am] NudeRaider -- because you get that in every other game and it doesn't clash with the concept of procedural generation.[2016-9-06. : 5:25 am] NudeRaider -- Dem0nDem0n shouted: Again, what did people expect? I literally just said what they expected.[2016-9-06. : 5:25 am] NudeRaider -- The things you can discover are always interesting. And while it doesn't matter that you can kind of deduce the resemblance of plant A from planet A of plant B on planet B. What makes it dull is that it's lifeless. Or rather basically lifeless. Because the life that there is does nothing interesting on its own (animals hunting?) or nothing at all (humans sleeping?).[2016-9-06. : 5:22 am] NudeRaider -- wow @ Demon (and lil a bit) oversimplification much? If you don't agree with them you're retarded. Makes for a simple life.[2016-9-06. : 12:55 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Dem0nDem0n shouted: 264 = ~18 quintillion or whatever that's because each planet is seeded by a unique value of a 64-bit integer[2016-9-06. : 12:54 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Fire_KameFire_Kame shouted: Corbo I hear oceans are expensive but if you have the income ![]() [2016-9-05. : 10:04 pm] * Generalpie yawns and flops over*[2016-9-05. : 8:22 pm] Fire_Kame -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: Corbo much butthurt, I sense in you https://cdn.meme.am/instances/34731962.jpg she was clearly making a joke.
