Voyager7456 -- y'all have spikes?
[2020-9-11. : 6:50 am]

Freakling shouted: Oh, they are filed under /SHUTTLE, for whatever reason O_o @_@…
Didn't you know that the warp in's are a myth? Protoss buildings are shuttled in.
[2020-9-09. : 3:34 pm]
NudeRaider -- sraw531
sraw531 shouted: NudeRaider assuming such was possible, and didn't get shot down by blizz, how would that work when leaving that particular map?
I don't think either assumptions are too likely. ;) But there's too ways it could work: Permantly, or just as long as the map is loaded.

Freakling -- Are the building starting and warp in sounds for Protoss not available through ScmDraft for some reason?
[2020-9-08. : 10:54 pm]
sraw531 -- I would think since your graphics settings persist between games, that unless you manually turn it back off (assuming you could), youd be in HD graphics until your game closed. Blizz would almost certainly shoot that down - otherwise it would become a "play this map first" graphics preloader
[2020-9-08. : 10:51 pm]
sraw531 -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: new map concept: (if you could write to it) A map whose only purpose is to show HD graphics to people who haven't bought remastered.

DarkenedFantasies -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: DarkenedFantasies it doesn't need to be written to. Just have 2 versions of text stacking that run based on what you read. Would be spooky as well if the map would be able to change your graphics. If you want to run a memory scanner safely run it in single player. If you wan to be extra safe block sc in your firewall during scans.
I know, I was just thinking of forcing one gfx mode as an alternative to having two copies of every relevant string. I figured I could block SCR's connections (as well as those from every other app/process related to it) but I'm not particularly interested to try it considering the hassle and potential risk for little to no use/benefit. Yea, I can just click one button to block literally all connections for minimum hassle, but that's still 15 bucks at stake and who the fuck still stacks text presently? Aside from Freakling, presumably.

DarkenedFantasies shouted: I don't know if the memory offset for it has been found, or if it can be written to. I'd try to look for it myself but I don't want to get my scr account banned for having a memory scanner running. :sneaky:

Yikes, you mean SCR is like SC2, Blizzard can arbitrarily take it away from you on a whim because it need internet, and detect all that you do?

can you detect the graphics mode with EUDs?

DarkenedFantasies -- Freakling
Freakling shouted: And how do I actually enter TAB characters into ScmDraft?
You can write <09>, or press CTRL+TAB or CTRL+I. Freakling
Freakling shouted: DarkenedFantasies Can you elaborate on this further? I am working with map names and the expectation of HD remastered.
What exactly do you want me to elaborate on? As far as I know games still cannot be hosted with stacked map names.

[2020-9-07. : 4:31 pm]
Dem0n -- doesn't text stacking not even work anymore?
[2020-9-07. : 2:28 pm]
Roy -- The number of tabs required is based on the length of the characters, rather than the number of characters, which is why the wiki uses approximation. Stacking "WWWWWWWW" is going to take fewer tabs than Stacking "iiiiiiii" even though they're both 8 characters, for example.

[2020-9-07. : 2:25 pm]
Roy -- They do as they say: center align makes the text position itself in the center of the text area, and right-align makes it line up with the right side of the text area. Left align is the default alignment.
[2020-9-07. : 12:24 pm]

I mean, hitting standard CCMU is reachable in say 8 player BGH. A single terran can hit weapons max pretty easily. Remember that Valks take 8 weapons (but max at 80/100 of the weapon limit), carriers are 9 units and reavers are 11 units.

[2020-9-04. : 1:57 am]

MTiger156 shouted: What do you mean non-EUD is beneficial? The only thing I trade off is extended unit/sprite limit, which doesn't even affect me cuz my maps are never massive.
EUD maps also can't save/load games and maybe some other things iirc
[2020-9-03. : 7:32 pm]
NudeRaider -- not that I know of. When you are a while on the site it makes it easier to read through threads because you recognize the signatures and immediately know who posted it. Especially useful in conversations.

8882a -- seing "None." in every thread is just irritating
[2020-9-03. : 7:20 pm]
8882a -- is there some way to disable signatures? they make it hard to read the posts
[2020-9-03. : 6:34 pm]
Ultraviolet -- ya that's the only benefit I know of as well. Sometimes I wish to be able to have the extended unit limits. But EUDs always win out for me
[2020-9-03. : 6:23 pm]
MTiger156 -- What do you mean non-EUD is beneficial? The only thing I trade off is extended unit/sprite limit, which doesn't even affect me cuz my maps are never massive.
[2020-9-03. : 5:58 pm]
sraw531 -- I do feel like too many people throw away the benefits of not using EUD, for the benefits of using EUD, without seemingly a second thought.
[2020-9-03. : 1:33 pm]
MTiger156 -- EUD Editor triggers have a "EUD Wait" action, which I think achieves the same effect as Wait without risking block. While on this subject, I wonder if SI will add more EUD actions to SCMD (the EUD Wait could be especially useful to the less skilled creators)
[2020-9-03. : 9:15 am]
sraw531 -- its been like 10 years since I used waits for anything besides hypers lol
[2020-9-03. : 8:24 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- if you only need it for a specific application and are 100% certain any waits for the same player cannot overlap, you can just do hypers for a different player (such as a computer or neutral player) and then others will be able to use 1 wait
[2020-9-03. : 8:20 am]
sraw531 -- Yeah, im so used to thinking that I can't, I'm just thinking it might be a novel idea being able to actually use a few.
[2020-9-03. : 8:09 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- each player can run 1 wait at a time without blocking ... there are ways around it, but using other timers (DC timers) is easiest because you don't have to think about blocking at all
[2020-9-03. : 7:21 am]
Oh_Man -- just use death counter timers instead of waits
[2020-9-03. : 6:53 am]
sraw531 -- so, reading the hyper trigger thread, Sacrieur says "This can be avoided by having at least two players who are not running a wait at any given time.", does this mean that if I have 3 computers, I can actually use waits for the non-computers? ( http://www.staredit.net/topic/16433/ )
