The current information landscape is overflowing with a multitude of news, and "news-like" sources. The sheer quantity of these sources presents a unique challenge to each one of us, who are news literate ourselves.

One of the most common complaints from individuals who read news is "I do not know who to believe anymore." However no one of us has the luxury of simply abandoning the search, rather we must take the initiative to find out what we can believe, no matter how difficult that may be. Look at here to find out a useful source on news paper.

Although there are many factors that can be utilized to assess the credibility or bias of news media, we found that there are essential factors which can be applied to almost every article. By making assessments about these important factors it is possible to be able to make an informed decision about accuracy and validity. When you can reasonably determine the reliability and bias of a piece of content it is possible to infer a level of confidence.

Reliability
To first assess the reliability of news content be sure to consider the following elements independently:

Expression
Veracity
Headline/Graphic

Expression
The way an article is written can give valuable clues about its authenticity, even before you attempt to verify the truthfulness of individual facts. You must consider whether the article is primarily factual statements, analysis statements or highly opinionated assertions.

The majority of these articles contain opinion statements and very opinionated claims are less reliable than those that are primarily facts and analysis statements. However, those that include more information and analysis are more trustworthy. It is recommended to verify to make sure.

Veracity
It's not possible for individual to verify and verify every claim in every article, however it is important to try to determine the veracity of certain key facts. In particular, if any statements in an article are unexpected, suspicious or infuriating to you, or sound like they'd be "big, if they were true," it's time to begin looking for the truth.

Headline and Graphic
The ability to compare a headline or graphic to its corresponding story is a simple, but powerful aspect to take into account when assessing overall reliability. Sometimes headlines and graphics give a different impression of the story than what it actually states after having read it.

If you are able to determine that the headline of an article's article and corresponding graphic do not correspond to the information contained in the article itself, you should be able to conclude that the entire article is less trustworthy as compared to one in which both are in line with each other.

Bias
Evaluating degrees of bias is also important in today's news landscape, because there is huge differences between opinion and analysis that merely advocates or argues for different views as opposed to extremist, polarizing, and inflammatory content that criticizes and discredits those who oppose one's political views.

Language
Examining different types of indicators for linguistics could reveal clues to the bias of the article. A first kind of linguistic indicator is the words used to describe the political views. It is crucial to note if an article uses words which are typically used to describe one side like "prolife" in contrast to "prochoice" or "illegal immigrants against. undocumented immigrants."

Each side has milder and more extreme terminology for political debates. These terms are helpful clues however they require that the reader be aware of which side uses which terms.

Comparison
Often, the best way to determine the quality of an article can be assessed in relation with other articles that cover the same subject. It is possible to compare the content with others by reading it later in other news outlets. This will let you know the subject matter it is focusing on and what is left out.

Symmetry shouted: Another map maker? Damn we really ARE back
I invite you to try out the map I modified. I don't have the creativity to create maps from scratch, but I do have the know-how to modify existing ones; my project is to tweak community campaigns (specifically those with errors—to make them playable.

Mr.BurnLiquid -- Ultraviolet
Ultraviolet shouted: Mr.BurnLiquid actually yeah though I wasn't really saying it to narc on you. It just caught me off guard because I don't usually see it (because it's against the rules) "The avatar may not be bigger than 150x150 pixels". Kinda silly that it relies on users to be well behaved rather than just limiting the dimensions on uploads
Now that I wanted to change my avatar, the error image is showing up, haha.

Mr.BurnLiquid shouted: Ultraviolet Thanks; I'm new to the site and a Spanish speaker. I must have missed the part where it was prohibited—I'll change it now.
I invite you to try out a mission I'm modifying from *StarCraft Reversed*; I'm trying to make it more playable and challenging.
