This map has some problems that greatly detract the overall product.

First, there are enemies that don't even realize that your there at all and will not attack you. I'm not sure if this was to tone down the difficulty in some parts or whatnot, but either way it gives off a lame vibe.

Second, after a major event halfway through the story. The escape from the scene is INCREDIBLY HARD. It's just not doable with the two hero units you got. At least one extra Knight is absolutely necessary. I was very lucky to have money left over to buy one. The point is was that it is a horrible design decision. It's a point where someone could easily be screwed for good.

Third, after arriving at Quarturn, you're allowed to leave freely through back to the main land. The problem with that is, it allows you to go crazy and kill everyone. The buildings of all the cities are no longer invulnerable. The remaining armies that were used just lay there for no reason allowing to farm them. A big oversight.

Overall, it wasn't a bad map. But, I have got to say it did not rock either. Felt very unfinished, which it maybe is. Otherwise a good effort.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
