I want to set a Hallucinate to die about 5 seconds after being made by triggers I tried to use the Set Energy trigger to 1% but it didn't seem to work. How would I do it?

Try searching next time: http://www.staredit.net/topic/9739/

Short answer: not possible.

Longer answer: you can make broodlings without a death timer (create unit, instead of create with properties), but there is no way to make a permanent hallucination, or set its timer to a shorter (or longer) length. Best you can do is use a trigger to kill it at a certain point. The hallucinated unit will still be affected by actions that apply to that unit type (but it will not be detected in conditions), so if you're hallucinating a type of unit that the player does not normally have access to, then you should have no issues with that approach.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
