This is a luck based strategical King of the Hill style map. This map supports up to 7 players (and is the most fun at a full house). It's a short party game for when you're bored.

This is me juking trying to stay alive. I don't want to give Blue extra points for killing me having already captured the Hill from me.

Defending the Hill with the few units I have left. Luckily I planted lots of mines =D

Archons are the most powerful units in this game. They are ridiculous and kill basically all the other units.

Technical: Every 10 seconds or so, you get spawned a random set of units which you will use to try to conquer the Hill. While at the Hill, you will get no spawn (so conserve your fighting). If you control the Hill, you will get a constant stream of points. Rake in 5000 points to win!
Other ways to get points is to collect Broodlings and kill other enemy templars.

Broodlings spawn too much I think, either that, or the scourge path isn't random enough. Also, they should tell you when you can no longer summon units, or there should be a timer to tell you when your next spawn is. (Stupid spidermines.) Um, that's all I can think of right now, besides pre-game options like pigy_g suggested.

Good idea, I like random unit fighterz by Unholy, and I like King of the Hill maps :)

It is a mix of those two right? Since this is luck based? I'll be sure to try it out soon.

NudeRaider -- blessed innocent soul knows nothing of the strife we had before EUDs were discovered :teehee:

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[2026-6-21. : 4:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new
