WoW isn't a FPS.

Well then the next-gen MMO is not referring to WoW. There is actually a new game being developed (and it has nothing to do with WoW, SC, or Diablo), but Blizzard is being extra secretive about it. Rumor is the game will be announced at the next BlizzCon.

The article I posted may not be reliable, but it is interesting to think about. I'm sure Blizzard could come up with an awesome Borderlands-esqe MMOFPS.

Well, I guess you're probably right about it. I just can't seem to picture Blizzard doing anything big so soon.

Just don't get your hopes up too high.

The same friend who told me about D3 months before it's announcement reassured me that this is an actual project, so my hopes are only high in that I know it'll be something new and something great.

Also, I find it slightly humorous that blizzard is competing against itself in the MMO market.

As would I. But I like Steampunk a lot too.

Well they have to give us something new to do. Hell, they just released the last boss of WotLK yesterday, and he's already been killed by a few guilds.

And I don't know if he was being serious or not, but a guildie said yesterday... "Uh, What exactly was the wrath of the Lich King?" It cracked me up...I don't know why.
