A few years ago i talked with someone on here about a mech based map where you chose your chassis, armor, weapons, special abilities, etc. And what you chose had slots for how much equpiment(such as heat sinks, missle jammers, radar, etc) and weapons you could have, speed, dmg, armor, hp, etc.

i'm looking for a project to start and i was wondering if during my absence something like this was created that yall knew of?

i would probably base this off of an old tv show thati liked as a child called exo squad

As far as I know nothing like that has been created.

It sounds like a good idea, though, if you knew triggering well enough to do it.

Astrogears has most of that and more. It is very complicated and lags like hell for some people (like me).

That being said, even if a thousand similar maps exist, that shouldn't put you off making your own. It's all about your desire to create it. Good luck!

Sure I didn't pop off on SCBW like I wanted to, but I won VRChat. Map maker for life.

astrogears ahd these elements? i only played it for a bit by myself...like to the point where the barricade was removed....but i didnt see anything about choosing a unit to customize...other than your gear master's vehicle....or anything about weight limits on the thing you chose.

am i mistaken or should i give it another look =]

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
