Alright i need the address for unit weapon cooldown. To help you guys understand, what i want to do is make a sound play after a unit fires, and this, through my knowledge, is only achievable with eud's. Anything is fine as long as it can detect when a unit fires.

None.

Did this one not answer your question?

You never responded to it.

yeah i dont know how to convert that to a memory condition. I tried using eudtrig but it creates an address that crashes starcraft.

None.

You need the start of the death table, 58A364, and then you just subtract that from your address, so if your address was 58DC60(Start of location table), you subtract 58A364 from 58DC60, you can do it in WinCalc, just change it to Hexadecimal, you get 38FC, which converted to decimal gives you 14588, the number you would use in the Memory condition.

None.

I can help you, but you need to explain which part you're stuck on:

1. Find an address, ie 0x628000
2. Plug address into EUD Trig, ie 161575
3. Create condition, ie Memory(161575, at least, 25600)

0x628000 is actually the HP for the 4th unit placed on the map, and each unit is 0x150 apart, which means you subtract 84 from the player number (4*84=336=0x150) to the the next unit.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.
