Artifacts of Evolution: a SC2 AoS map

This is map that is going to be made when sc2 comes out. I have permission from the map creator (Brykk) to post it here.

Any suggestions about it i can post on the site, or you can open an account there and discuss it there

Anyways, here's an overview:

The story revolves around the battle between the zerg and the terran forces looking for arifacts that will allow them to destroy the other. The two factions are Raynor's Raiders and Kerrigan's Swarm, and will have protoss units mixed between the two.

It looks like it might wind up being a really cool map.

Looks pretty meh. It has some DotA copies and some new heroes, but there's going to be so many AoS-type games that come out it's not even going to be funny.

This also doesn't consider that IceFrog just signed with Valve to probably port DotA to an engine over there, and that HoN already has like 40,000 people that bought the game which isn't even out of beta...

I can't see anything but the latter two taking off.

Because spending a lot of time to make a game in War3 or SC1 will be pointless in like 6 months?

The main reson i thought this was cool is just because he's taking all of it from community suggestions, and said he'll update it constantly with new heroes and such when it is finally released.

There are going to be some abilities that overlap sure, but unlike HoN I'm not going to copy and paste heroes into my game. The key here is what I vision to be the evolution of Dota (no pun intended). I want to take the best of what works, and try to make it better. I'm going to try to drop what I feel disappoints players . With the community's help I intend to make it the best game possible.

On the wiki page I'm looking for as many suggestions and as much feedback as possible.

I appreciate any support anyone has to offer.

Sure there is going to be a lot of competition, I'm not going to shy away from it.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
