Is the trigger running for you or for the computer? It helps if you post what trigger you are currently using, copied from Trigedit (not classic).

Red classic.

The trigger is running for me. I'm turning on vision for the computer and it's turning back.

Players: 123456

Conditions: Always

Actions: Turn ON vision for Player 8
Actions: Preserve Trigger.

And it turns back on for me. Nuu.
And it turns on even when I tell the computer to turn off vision for 123456

None.

Master has given Dobby a doctorate! Dobby is free!

You've got it the wrong way--think of it as in the alliance box, when you click shared vision. Vision is given from the player in the actions section, to the owner of the trigger. It's as if a human p8 clicks "shared vision" for players 1-6.

Yeah you got it the wrong way. The computer doesn't "turn the vision back" but he never gets vision from the players in the first place. Just the players receive vision from P8. Do it that way:

Players: 8

Conditions: Always

Actions: Turn ON vision for Player 1
Actions: Turn ON vision for Player 2
Actions: Turn ON vision for Player 3
Actions: Turn ON vision for Player 4
Actions: Turn ON vision for Player 5
Actions: Turn ON vision for Player 6
Preserve Trigger

Symmetry shouted: I did my first EUD thing today. Feels like me finding arsenal at age 8 again
haha for sure. in some ways it's even more exciting because you can play EUD maps on regular battle.net, don't need to convince someone to download your mod to play with you. what did you do?
