I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

in the install.exe of the broodwar CD OR in your BroodWar.mpq, if you are using the 1.15 noCD feature.

Use WinMPQ to look inside the .MPQ files and extract things from them.
If I remember correctly, the scenarios are stored in .CHK format, not .SCM or .SCX.

1. start winmpw
2. go to "File" -> "Open"
3. select the Install.exe
4. click "Open"
5. smile & be happy

don't double click on the exe... that will start the exe...
select the exe, press open to open it. Search the *.chk files and extract all.

Yes. There's a LOT of files in there, far more than just the campaigns. Fortunately for you, the thing on top with an asterisk (wildcard) in it is a search. (This is why it is listing everything.) Now, I've told you that you're looking for .CHK files. So, put two and two together and the campaign is yours to extract.

The sword and the faith

The unknowns are because you have not properly added SC's listfile to WinMPQ under options.

👻 👾 👽 💪

I like this way better: CampaignUtility.
Just extract the archive into a folder, insert your SC/BW cd into your computer (or both discs if you can), and run the program. Virtual disc drives and the 1.15.2 no-CD thingy both work.

Code
                          ("`-''-/").___..--''"`-._
                         `6_ 6  )   `-.  (     ).  `-.__.`)
                          (_Y_.)'  ._   )  `._ `.  ``-..-'
                        _..`--'_..-_/  /--'_.' ,'
                       (il),-''  (li),'  ((!.-'

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[2026-6-21. : 4:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new

Oh_Man -- makes me wonder if SEN knows anything about the topic
