Trigger
Players

  • All Players
  • Conditions

  • Command (P12,AtLeast,1,AnyUnit);
  • Actions

  • GiveUnits(All,AnyUnit,P12,Anywhere, --insert computer player--);
  • PreserveTrigger();
  • Comment("Give units to computer");

  • to access player 12 you will need scmdraft or starforge

    this works even for whole forces.
    And should be able to use x-tra editor too if you use P12 mode.

    errr, there is a problem with that trigger, it is saying if p12 commands 1 unit at anytime anywhere, than every single unit everywhere will be given to p12... and I highly suggest using more specific terms than just "any unit", because that includes EVERYTHING; buildings, beacons, powerups, map revealers, etc.

    To access P9-P12 triggers for Xtra, you need to import some triggers.

    the attachments are the triggers for each P9-P12. It will not specifically say Player 12, but be a blank space. Leave this alone as you can't get it back if you change it. The best way to use these triggers is to copy the entire listing onto a new trigger, delete what you don't want, and add what you do want. In your case it would be, P12 brings any unit to anywhere, Remove/Kill all any unit for P12.

    And as Akar said...P12 actually controls more units than just men/buildings. Minerals are also given to P12, so you should remove/kill specific units or just men/buildings.

    that is what a lot of maps do, like defense maps for example...

    yeah, and if it is a defense type map where you need those buildings/men saved, just give any men/buildings from P12, back to the players that are still there. The current risk map does this when someone leaves so that there is not free kills.

    NudeRaider -- blessed innocent soul knows nothing of the strife we had before EUDs were discovered :teehee:

    DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

    Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

    Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
    [2026-6-21. : 4:25 am]
    Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

    Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

    NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

    NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new :lol:
