I suggest you rate the above two links a 1 and flag it as Spam->Misleading Text

It seriously pisses me off when people label their videos as HD when they are clearly not.

The sword and the faith

Absolutely amazing. David Kim did a lot of simultaneous actions, he was able to attack, build, and tech without pause. I also feel the abilities and their worth are becoming a lot more evident than before.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

DID YOU SEE THE FISH ?
Let's see how long it takes untill someone will explain why this is no pure spam...

I was dissapointed by the lack of spell-usage by the queens :(... I wanted to see them...

Other than that.. Pheonix with anti-gravity is quote interesting in terms of gameplay, but defeats the purpose of calling it a Pheonix XD.
Also.. the game seem sooo so much faster  .. It took David Kim what seems like seconds to get the warp rays into play o.O...

... David Kim must have had Coffee with Coca Cola Black mixed into it or something... o.O.. he was relentless

EDIT: also.. the Dark Pylon seems available very early in the game... :\ I wonder if tat's a good thing.

Forcefield and Blink seem to have somewhat low energy cost

This.

But you know, SC was not anywhere near the balance it is now in it's first patches. It wasn't till what? 1.10 that SC really got it's balance straight? It's the same deal with this whole XP vs Vista thing people were doing. XP wasn't near perfect when it first came out, but because of the improvements, people forgot that over time. I don't think anyone thinks of pre 1.08 SC or it's balance much these days either.

SC2 has potential, and I think that's key. Blizzard has shown us they are not afraid of patching mistakes and imbalances, even if when it comes to Bnet features it takes 2 patches to implement it, 2 to break it, and 2 to fix it. :P

Agreed..
I'm sure they're gonna make forcefield require more energy...

But the Blink is different.. it is based on Cooldown.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[2026-6-21. : 4:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new
