ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO

I've recorded some documentaries on discovery channel and history channel and stuff and I am going to be showing them to some of.. let's call them my students.
The thing is that some of them are in english and I was wondering if... for some odd reason any of you guys knew of a good program to add subtitles that is easy to handle and UI friendly, as in, no dull not-so-functional crap. Something like "on real time" subtitle adder.

I could just google this and find a crappy program, in fact I did, but I just wanted to know if you guys had any recommendations on an specific program to use?

Thanks in advance.

fuck you all

Windows Movie Maker. Comes default with XP, and works pretty damn good I must say. Not the best Ive heard, but its only text so you dont need to go the extra mile.

aka idmontie

There is a cheap movie maker program called ScreenBlast Pro. I doubt you want to spend money, so go with Dark_Marine's idea.

Yes, I know, but the problem with WMM is that it saves on a gay ass format and the videos lose quality no matter what.
Even if it did output in a really good desirable quality WMM can't even open the files I'm subtitling.

If anyone wants to know this is a very good tool for creating subtitles.

Supports many formats of subtitles and videos. All you have to do is load a video, create a new subtitle and then you can just add lines and lines and you set the start time and end time. Easy as that.

Adobe makes some of the best products in the world.

All of their shitty stuff (eg, Flash), is acquired from other companies.

They make good software, yes, but it also lags a lot and have a ridiculous large ammount of requirements. They realised so and they started doing the "portable" versions which are just lamer than lame.

Adobe Reader is probably the worst creation ever made by mankind.

Oh_Man -- U reckon? Kasparov waa defeated by computer decades ago

NimoStar -- If its any consolation, the human brain would still mop the floor with this bot if it wasn't limited by the mechanical interface
[05:34 pm]
NimoStar -- Well. The bot didn't come up with any new strategy. It just has superhuman micro. Hard to beat that. I reckon even the simplest dedicated chess engines are unbeatable for humans now.

Oops, caught me there, no I haven't. :( I was imagining how the game went. Sorry for that. Watching it now. brb

NimoStar shouted: They were not "Unprepared" that was their fifth loss in a row against the bot. The other replays are also available
that doesn't mean he was prepared. When humans come around with new strategies it often takes weeks until the pros figure out how to shut it down. Oh_Man that's certainly a way more convincing argument for micro being "too good to beat".
