Lord of the Locker Room

They'll be used for attacks.

Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.

Mar 30 2009, 10:46 pm Biophysicist Post #22

But do you plan on modding them? Like, editing the iscripts or something?

None.

Lord of the Locker Room

Most likely. But their spell elements will remain intact.

Sleeping wolves wake hungry.

Yes, I do. I intend to change its purpose and effects completely.

And you should know exactly what for ;D

Mar 30 2009, 11:19 pm Biophysicist Post #25

@Mesk: Will the spells still retain their original functions, just with different animations? Or will they be totally different/have extra effects added?

@Mesk: I'd like to know fairly soon so I can tell the other players if they can use those spells. But sure. :)

Also, I'll be using the Dragoon for something. (Non-hero goon.) I won't be modifying it, though. Well, maybe. But probably not.

Lord of the Locker Room

um well it won't be soon I have other stuff to do, but basically I'll be totally changing their graphics but their effects will remain and they'll be integrated into my interceptor attack system.

If it's just the graphics that are changing, then other people can use them. That's all I needed to know. Thanks.

Sleeping wolves wake hungry.

Oh, Mesk, I called Lockdown >_>

Mar 30 2009, 11:51 pm Biophysicist Post #31

Well, Magicide, are you modifying it? If not, then both of you can use it.

None.

Sleeping wolves wake hungry.

I am.

A lot.

If Mesk desperately wants it, I can pick something else.

Mar 30 2009, 11:56 pm Biophysicist Post #33

Crap. Mesk, he did call it before you, so I'm afraid that you can't use it... (Please don't kill me.) Unless you two can work something out, of course. At least you still have Maelstrom (and I can mark everything as Organic if you want)...

EDIT: Or one of you could use Dweb...

Lord of the Locker Room

I can make a different weapon entry.

But everything organic will work too.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
