im working on my new map, which is a remake of Custom Hero Wars. i need a cool creative person to design some interesting terrain for the U-shape lane and also a small hero arena for duals. its really a small amount of work, however im going to struggle because my terrain is really bad. please help! i will give credits to the terrain artist in the mission briefing. for more information, check this topic http://www.staredit.net/topic/6508/

Master has given Dobby a doctorate! Dobby is free!

Reagan's on the case.
Just send me the specs
[approx size, what needs to go where, or maybe a file so I don't have to guesstimate what needs to go on the map and which ideas are crap]
And I'll see what I can do.

cool. i will post the map. the terrain work required is mainly for the lane where you fight most of the game, and the dual arena. here is the map.

Are you particular about isom/extended terrain? Or can it be whatever?

EDIT: That was a kinda dumb question...well, I'm gonna make it isomand extended. It's gonna look like it's a really high cliff around the hero arena, and possibly a sunken area for the path thingy. Maybe.

EDIT 2: If I'm still on whenever you login you can try and shout and get me, but I'm probably getting off in 15 minutes [11:30, it's :16 now.].

as long as the terrain is fairly interesting and the blends are good, its all yours. make sure though there is enough room for the spawning units to walk and space for a good hero fight. i dont want the units getting stuck in too much traffic you know? it sounds good what you suggested, i like the idea of that. i guess i will have to wait to see for myself :)

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
