okay before this trigger was working fine, but at some point during my map creation it broke, i tried everything from changing the conditions to removing the DC and switching it to a score, i put in a mineral being added each cycle to see if it was working and to my confusion it would only run once, i waited a good minute and a half and still it only ran once. here is the trigger

Conditions:
Always

Actions:
SetResources(P1, Add, 1, Ore);
SetDoodadState(Enable, Steele Schnieder, P8, Steeleorig);
Order(Steele Schnieder, P8, Steeleorig, Move, Steeleplace);
Wait(1200);
MoveUnit(All, Steele Schnieder, All Players, Steeleplace, Steelecharge);
SetScore(CurrentPlayer, Add, 1, Custom);
PreserveTrigger();
Comment("Steele loading");

for some odd reason it isnt being preserved, i reentered the preserve action and it still wont function...

It is most likely a wait block. Check the wiki for info.

i have no other waits running most of the time as i use death counts, and i have hypers going to prevent this.

Edit: nvm, i was thinking of wait blocks differently, ill check it now though im fairly sure its not it.

Edit2:... im embarrassed, it was wait blocks; i had my hypers set to 8 i meant for them to be on 7 XD thanks.

Resolved, please lock.

Hyper triggers cause wait blocks also.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
