Questions Regarding Hallucinations

Two quick questions in regards to Hallucinations:

1. When you kill a Hallucination, does your kill score increase? If so, is it by the value of the normal unit, or a set value for all Hallucinations?

2. Do Hallucinations set off triggers? If I have a trigger. "Player 1 brings at least 1 Zlot to Location 7" Would a hallucination set this trigger off? I'm hoping it wouldn't, but I don't know.

Thanks in advance.

I can't remember #1, but I think it's a no.

and for 2. No, the only way to detect them is to detect not detecting them(if that makes sense).

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Hallucinations are no real units, so you don't get kills score and you cannot detect them in conditions (so no, the trigger would not run).

However, they are affected by actions, such as move unit, modify hp or center location.

EDIT: Falk beat me to it

No that doesn't make sense if you don't explain it. :P

What Falk means is you use the property i mentioned that you can center locations on them. In a 2nd trigger you check if there's the unit you just centered on (bring). If bring says there's no unit, you know it's a hallucination (or there was nothing to center on, e.g. there's neither a unit nor a hallucination).

So you can use center location on a hallucination unit, but you can't detect the hallucination unit in a location?

Any other things in how hallucination units act different than regular units?

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
