EUD Conditions

Ive looked arround for info on EUDs, I know sort of how the work, Ive found a good reference list for Memory locations and Ive found a few basic tutorials. After that, any reference has been a kind of drop phrase, like "not w/o euds" or "youd need to use EUDs to do that" but NO explanation thereof. There seems to be a gap in information. Between, EUDs could do everything, now they can just detect everything as of 1.13, and overflow memory explanation, and lists of memory locations and images of the cool things you can do w/ EUDs, especially the now-patched actions. So, Im curious, how to you form a EUD condition. As actions are patched, I doubt Ill ever really need them, but conditions are alive and well. How do you form one?

I know you take the Death condition and do something like Player 1 has suffered 1265325 deaths of unit 2433. But what are those number. How do you know what numbers to use, how do you know what player, death amount and unit?

None.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
