Can you give different names for the same unit? Then, siege tanks are called tank AA for player 1, but for player 2 theyre called tank BB.

If you mean giving one unit multiple names, No, you'd have to use different units

Best you can do is using the hero equivalents. They can of course have a different name.

Ghosts and BCs, except for both, some of them can't be created via triggers, only preplaced.

How about showing the unit name in 1 specific colour?

We do a little trolling

Nope. Name for each unit has to be exactly the same for all players.

My Projects:

Impossible Ultraviolet | Impossible UV 2 | Impossible UV 3
Mercenaries 2020 | Mercenaries III
Squad Defense

Legacy Projects (No guarantee of functionality in modern SC):

Pixel Adventure 2 | Space Snipers | Control the Ball

Color tags are part of the name, in case you haven't noticed...

i think the best you could do with that is modify their health to change wire frames from player to player, but thats not exactly what you're trying for

And both DuGalle and Mengsk ships have the same stats (Save HP/Armour).

About the player colour as it shows in the mini-map, for the human player, I thought that it's the same colour as the units.
But its always the same colour, regardless of unit colour. Has this changed with a patch?
How to make the same colour in mini-map as the colour of units ?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. If by human player you mean your units, then your units will always show up as neon green in the mini map and you can't change that. The other players should show up on the minimap as w/e color the units are unless...--> If you mean you've changed player colors in an editor and they're not working right in game, you need to save the file as a broodwar map (.scx). And if you actually mean what your question seems to say and your units are one color on the map and a completely different color in the mini map then I had no idea that was even possible and hopefully someone else can help you.

http://www.staredit.net/files/464/ thats fartys player color index, i use it al the time

there are a handful of colors that are different on the mini map then on the game

you should be using SCMDraft to change the colors though, and for them to appear on the game correctly, you have to have the game saved to .scx

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
