most air units
hero ling, hero ultra
hero rine, hero zealot, vult, hero bat, vult, infested, goon, hero hydra
ling
goliath, workers
every other unit

In that package you find Datedit. It has all stats of all units.
It's a modding tool, but also useful as a reference for mappers.

There's also some reference table where someone has tested all the unit speeds. I'll try to dig it out.

EDIT: Here's Datedit without those other tools.

EDIT2: Here's the reference table I spoke of.

EDIT3: And here's an alternative link, should doodle's server be down.

And I will also pick up Toothfariy's idea to post the list incase both links are down some day. ;)

This is harmless, because some tools in there can modify .exe files which is considered malicious behavior by most scanners. But it really is just the means that modder create their mods by.

Wrong all wrong. Hienerman made a list (or maybe it was someone else, but it was deathknight, so I'd say its Hienerman). The fastest is a speed upgraded vulture, and the slowest is a stand-alone, no speed upgraded overlord.

And to Dev, the program is not a virus. It detects it as a program that modifies exes (Which is the point of modding), but it contains a large basis of information as well, such as unit sizes, attack speeds, etc.

when u say stand alone, does that mean that if multiple overlords are next to each other they change thier speed?

and thanks for the list nude, its extremely helpful

If you paused to think you'd see you're the wrong one. Go make a map where the interceptor races the upped vulture. have you never seen a map where interceptors are used?

Yeah, he didn't test interceptors on that list. (Nude posted it)

so i have another question about speed

if im makin a defense map, and lets say i wanna use a zealot for level 5

then later, like level 15, i wanna have the zealot go faster

would i have to research the ability or would simply using fenix zealots work that way?

cuz on a map i made one time, fenix was goin the slow speed and i thought heros always have the upgrades?

Jan 7 2009, 1:09 am Falkoner Post #11

Fenix would only go slow if you disable the tech altogether, using heros should work just fine.

so thats the same for ultralisks, lings, zealots, vultures, scouts and overlords?

My interceptor was rigged to move next to an observer. :bleh:

The Nuclear Missile is the fastest unit given enough acceleration time.
Next is probably the Interceptor or Scarab.

Among the slowest, Larva, Reaver, Overlord.
Don't forget the lifted building.

I would have a test map, but SCMDraft resizing(or something else?) has caused it to crash.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
