for a map, im trying to make the screen center on a location in the center of the map

my trigger is

Players
-Player 1
Conditions
-Player 1 brings 1 Terran Civilian to "Location X"
Actions
-Create 1 Terran Marine at "Location Y" for Player 1
-Center view on "Location Z" for Current Player
-Minimap Ping at "Location Z" for Current Player
-Move all Terran Civilian owned by Player 1 to "Location W"
-Perserve Trigger

and its not center viewing or doing the minimap ping.
it does everything else fine

any thoughts to why this is goin on?

None.

And you're sure it does move the Civilian from Y to W? Because otherwise I'd say you tested single player and ran into a wait block. In single player the "Center view" action acts as a wait.

yeah you were right, i was testing it in single player and it wasnt doing any thing. it works on multiplayer

however on single player, somthing else wouldnt work. i have a little place to buy units with a civilian, and when i stepped on the beacon at the location, it bought it the first time, but any subsquent times the trigger wouldnt work and i checked a hundred times to see if there was a preserve trigger there. but when i tested it on multiplayer, it worked perfectly fine.

is that a common problem or somthing? cause now that means i can't play my map on single player

None.

You need to give more information about the actions and conditions. Right now I can't think of another difference between multiplayer and single player. I know there are a few more, but can't remember anything relevant right now.

Condition
-Brings Terran Civilian to "Location X"
-Current player accumulates at least 10 minerals
Action
-Modify resources for current player: Subtract 10 minerals
-Create 1 Terran Marine at "Location Y"
-Center view for current player at "Location Y"
-Show Minimap ping for current player at "Location Y"
-Move Terran Civilian to "Location Z"
-Preserve Trigger

X = where u take civilian to buy
Y = where the purchased units spawn
Z = civilians orginal location

that is exactly what my trigger is

on single player it only worked once and the ping and center view didnt do anything.
if it makes a difference, i am using hyper triggers

although, i made a quick test map, and it all works on this map fine in single player

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
