i'm trying to make a condition when an EUD changes to a certain value, but it is only set to that value for a second or two, then goes back to 0. I don't think hyper triggers will work. Sc doesn't scan for the address quick enough or something..

Is it possible to make this eud condition work? or not...?

None.

Probably not. Hyper triggers and multiple copies of the detection trigger are probably your best bet.

A second or two? Unless you're exaggerating on the time, SC should have plenty of time to read the value. Maybe you have the wrong EUD address? :P

What are you trying to detect, exactly? Maybe you could read from a resulting value.

I presume you are trying to use it as a switch or something, so note a few things:

-EUD Actions were patched in 1.13b. I'm not sure if you are trying to use an action to set a memory value, but if you are that would be your problem.
-If something else is setting the memory value, what is it? Hyper triggers cause one trigger run roughly every 84ms, so they should catch just about every observable event.

In short, EUD triggers use the fact that Starcraft does not check for a valid Unit ID (which can, in a trigger, actually range from 0 to 65535), and the Deaths triggers will read (and write) directly to RAM. EUD triggers allow you to read and write directly to Starcraft's memory, which gives you a whole lot of freedom. Unfortunately, for abuse reasons, Blizzard patched out the ability to write to memory (EUD Actions) in Patch 1.13b.

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
