So yeah, I'm thinking Transmissions are better than Display message, but I don't know if Transmissions create wait blocks or not. So does anyone know?

None.

From that information, no it won't.

EDIT:

Transmissions are a Wait, a Display Message, and a Show Unit Portrait all rolled into one. All of which can be used on their own.

No.... there's a Talking Portrait action. What you can't get any other way is the little circle that blinks around the unit.

It also does a minimap ping on the highlighted unit.

PS. The wait time of the transmission action functions exactly the same as a normal wait action.
You can even make hyper triggers with transmissions.

Oh, and they're the only action that makes a highlight circle on a given unit.

Yes they're a wait.

No, from that definition it says it will do the exact same thing a wait does.

If your Hyper Triggers or other wait triggers are below the trigger with the transmission, they should turn off while the transmission runs, or you could use Cross Player Hyper Triggers, which will turn off for the duration of the wait no matter where they are, a tutorial on how to use them is here:

What does that have to do with this topic? He has not said a single thing about hyper triggers.

Simple answer: YES!

(Transmission uses the wait action, among others)

Yes, but them causing wait blocks may cause a problem, which is why I said:

So I told him how to get by without wait blocks.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
