Unknown Project

Failed By: Vi3t-X

Introduction
Currently, production is underway for a terrible RPG produced by myself.
This topic is for myself to ask questions, aquire feedback and general crap.
Why is it here you may ask? Because, I'd rather not have everyone see this just yet.
Lets begin, shall we?

General Information
Tileset: Jungle
Terrain Style: Extended
Map Size: 256x256
Players: 4 Human
Genre: RPG - Adventre

Storyline
With King Barcus III dead, and no one to assume the crown, a prisioner, yourself, has been set free by Sir William. In an effort to save the crown from bickering mates, William has tasked you to land in the Province Spria to quell the uproar, and find a suitable hier.

Characters
Each player will control a Terran Ghost. No upgrades will be researched, and all technologies and upgrades will be applicable (Yes, you will get the opportunity to land nukes). There will be a system in place, as your requisite class may change your weapon. For the time being, you're an Archer. Deal with it.

Spell System
There will be a relatively large set of spells, but only a few have been implemented, and still quite buggy. When the spells are clean, I'll start posting.

NPCs & Easter Eggs
Sir Alveon - Commander of Se'Nadia, Leader of the Templar Knights. Your best friend from the start of the game.
Chef De'Noario - What you might call a mentor. Also in Se'Nadia.
Pigyia - Rhynadon

Notepad
Me store me notes.

Answered Questions
Yes, I'll be keeping track of your questions.

No, it is most definately the worst map ever.

Now if you could give suggestions on anything, you can gain Easter Egg points. More points, more Easter Eggs.

Here's my suggestion, worth 50k egg points and the maxium egg points being 4.

My suggestion is to make Pi'GyaG, the Sage/Hermit who lives in a hermitage. Owned.

I think it would be cool if some spells instead of costing a specific amount of mana it's cost is depened on how long it is out, and higher level spells of this type drain mana faster, for example this would be great for a heal spell so you could use it to just heal 10 hp or you could keep it out for 100.

That idea of being just a dark templar is homo. It's been used too many times and it is a slow unit.

How about for a boss you have to fight a ghost, when he isn't flying around as a cloaked wraith or observer he has like 20 observers constantly moving on him, when he switchs modes several hallucination deaths appear in the spot before he does, you can only hurt him when he partially solidifys. His attack animation could be dark templars dying, or maybe use like rhynadons and scantids. I always find green to be an awesome color.

Suggest another unit then. What would you like, a Zealot? And just so you know, the DT will be even slower with items equipped as encumbrance. :bleh:
But go on, suggest something cool.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- :wob:

Symmetry -- :wob:

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[2026-6-21. : 4:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings
[2026-6-20. : 6:15 pm]
Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.
[2026-6-20. : 3:47 pm]
NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.
[2026-6-20. : 3:43 pm]
NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new

Oh_Man -- makes me wonder if SEN knows anything about the topic
