how can i detect units/rectangles on a minimap? I've been looking for addresses the whole day and none seem to be right

i actually dont care if it's in the eud range or not, i just want to know the address.. plz help me find it/them

the RED arrows points to the green square/rectangle/unit on minimap that i want to detect

None.

Find where on the main map that square corresponds to, and detect if there is a unit there.

We do a little trolling

I believe he's looking for a solution that involves being able to detect any square on the map, not just specific ones.

My Projects:

Impossible Ultraviolet | Impossible UV 2 | Impossible UV 3
Mercenaries 2020 | Mercenaries III
Squad Defense

Legacy Projects (No guarantee of functionality in modern SC):

Pixel Adventure 2 | Space Snipers | Control the Ball

i want to find the place on the mini map, not the place on the map

this is kind of how i want to use it in a trigger....

condition:
if player sees a specific dot on his mini map...
action:
play .wav

and also, idc if it's in the eud range or not, i just want to know the address or how to detect a unit/dot's position on the mini map

None.

Why would you need to know that? Their position on the minimap is relative to their position on the map, so it's much easier to just detect where they are on the map.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
