Gomoku is an abstract strategy board game and is also called Five in a Row. It is traditionally played with go pieces (black and white stones) on a go board (19x19 intersections); however, because once placed, pieces are not moved or removed from the board, gomoku may also be played as a Paper and pencil game.

Black plays first, and players alternate in placing a stone of their color on an empty intersection. The winner is the first player to get an unbroken row of five stones horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

However, while the game is mathematically proven to be unfair towards the White player (who goes second), there is a rule that eliminates the unfairness- called the Renju rule.
The rule only applies to black, due to black having the 'perfect-win' situation.
Double three - Black cannot place a stone that builds two separate lines with three black stones in unbroken rows (i.e. rows not blocked by white stones).
Double four - Black cannot place a stone that builds two separate lines with four black stones in a row.
Overline - six or more black stones in a row.

The suggestion is, if you put this game on SEN- the game system would be rather simple. Make a room, and other people join the game. And you'd play the game having 25 to 250 minerals on the bet. It would be cool!

However most non-pro games allow the double four due to it being ridiculously hard to end a game without it.

This isn't a gaming site, actually it is but a Starcraft Map Making. We are doing fine the way it is and games in forums only work for general sites. If people want to play that game, they can go play it in Maplestory or a flash game website. I disapprove.

I don't see it that way. Sure it's a map making site, but who says its bad to have more fun in it?
