So whenever I play the damn campaigns, I freeze sometimes in the briefing. I think this is like, the sound file is corrupt, because whenever I play FFA Random Unit, I freeze whenever they have a quote.

I would try it and see if it works, because the sounds are kept on the CD.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.
shut down starcraft's music can fix this, too.
the problem should be the music. I've had the same problem with the zerg theme and my starcraft cd (bluescreen of death on win98 ftw). but I was able to install everything properly :X

I can't copy the damn INSTALL.exe without everything crashing, maybe because I use a burned CD, but I can't find my other CD.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically[04:26 am]
Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?[04:25 am]
