So I was testing out a few keys yesterday and got carried away, loaded a few too many bots and Blizzard apparantly IP Banned me. Yes, you can laugh all you want (Echo), but is there any way to... shorten the term? I beleive the ban is lifted in 2 weeks, but still...

You could pull a "Centreri" and keep mashing the "enter" button until they let you in.

It really works! And, that IS the procedure. I just read a book and kept pressing enter. After 200 tries it broke through and started working 10% of the time :).

Quote from Echo
1. Go to Start
2. Click Run
3. Type in "cmd"
4. In cmd, type in "ipconfig /flushdns"
5. After that type in again "ipconfig /release"
6. Type in "ipconfig /renew" and there you have it, you have a new ip address

Make sure you pull your wire from your router afterwards. I hope you're not using wireless. If you are, snag someone else's signal = new IP and service.

What kind of internet connection do you have? If you're behind a router you'll need to turn off the router/modem for a while(maybe a few hours) and then turn it back on, and hopefully you'll be assigned a new IP Address.

Bringing the topic back to life...

This time I was randomly IP Banned. :| :wtfage:

Static and/or Dynamic IPs I can work with, but the problem is, how do I fix it?
Do I flush my dns from the Router computer or my recieving computer? Or both?

If you just disconnect your modem, and wait for a while, the hub you're connected to is likely to give you a new IP address.

Or pull a 'Centreri'.

Or I could assign myself a new IP Address. And the last time it happened, I tried that - didn't work.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
