Okay so I am using a 64x64 jungle tileset, using the null terrain right after the creep, and I noticed that when I kill creep colonies, the creep stays permenantly, so then I decided, if I make the map 96x96 however only use 64x64 of it, all the little creep / building problems that come from being at the bottom of the map, would be gone. Using the exact same null terrain, but on a 96x96 map, the creep starts to dissapear instead of staying permenenantly. It usually starts as a few just like squares popping in little random spots on the creep and then gradually showing the creep dissapear but, I just wanted to know why it doesn't work on 96x96 but it does on 64x64
None.
No idea, perhaps a certain null tile you used was different the second time you tried it?
None.
Nope I used the same one, it's same tileset so it should be in the same spot right?
None.
Maybe it has nothing to do with the tileset or map size. It might have a certain percent chance of happening.
None.
Well with the 64x64 it worked everytime and with the 96x96 it hasn't worked once, so i don't think it's % chance...

Maybe it matters if you place the terrain or the building first?
Or maybe it depends on which terrain you overwrote with null?
I started the initial map out with just null terrain, then I just took like a 10x10 square of the tile and pasted it everywhere, however I did miss a spot and that was visibly clear because the creep expanded, see what was cool was the creep didn't expand nor did it dissapear, the null tile to the right of it however allowed expansion and creep dissapeared from borders inwards and the tile above it the creep allowed expansion AND the creep dissapeared from the middle outwards.
None.
I hate to bump the map, but since the answer is not yet given...
None.
I'd like to help you man but this isn't my field of expertise.
I haven't tested on all the weird non-sense part of SC, I'm more of a mechanics guy.
None.
Shocko, I think it's really unknown, perhaps you should test it and figure out what it is? Because I don't think anyone has any idea what happened.
None.
would you like maps to see?
None.
it's not something I need to do in replay, it happens everytime...
None.
Doesn't it do that with
any creep tiles, null or not? I'd say it is because the tiles are already creep by default so the engine sees no need to remove them.

See I don't think you understand what i'm trying to say, I used X tile on a 64x64 map and the creep DIDNT dissapear, I used the same X tile on a 96x96 map and now the creep DOES dissapear...
None.
Um. No it doesn't? I tried both sizes and it just sits there, as I said.
Edit: Ok, it went away in 64x64... it just took forever. Lemme try again.
Edit2: Went away in 96x96. Revised theory: It tries to remove the creep tiles, despite them being default, because it believes them to be part of the creep circle (as they should be). The engine is just retarded or something.

I just tested on the 64x64 a tiny tiny portion of it dissapeared around the top edge and the right edge, but other then that it stayed for a considerable amount of time, the 96x96 version however starts almost instantly and doesn't really stop...
None.
Both acted exactly the same for me.

I somehow doubt the actual map size has something to do with it.
Maybe its the position. Absolute or relative to the edges or something. The second possibility could explain why it behaves different on different map sizes.
Yeah I was starting to think about that yesterday then when I tested for some complete and unexplainable (for me) thing occured, when StarCraft was removing creep on the right hand side for me, it replaced some of the null tiles with what APPEARED to be creep tiles.
