Help if you have a foreign Starcraft?

This is an odd request, but I am looking for all 6 locale id glumain.bin's for an international mod that I am working on. According to my patch_rt.mpq, there appears to be about 6 different languages. maybe there are more?

The only time one would see different language files would be in patch_rt.mpq, but Blizzard has not updated this file, so I am limited to the English version. If you have a foreign language Starcraft, could you please upload your glumain.bin or pm it to me. You will find it in Stardat.mpq filed under rez/glumain.bin.

Thnx a ton in advance.

Ok thnx. Now it is possible to change any .bin file's locale ID with BinEditII btw and I could attempt to create my own I guess with the help of babblefish. It just is a hell of a lot more accurate to use the authentic ones with the correct hotkeys etc. Tho I imagine the hotkeys might still be the same for multiplayer, singleplayer, exit etc. in foreign versions. I say this because BWCHart for instance used to load replays via those hotkeys. Maybe I'm wrong?

At any rate... thnx. I have modified the more important menu changes that I wanted to do such as the map lists for custom games, replays etc. (glucreat.bin and glucustm.bin) for different languages. My main screen really only has 3 buttons. Single Player, Multiplayer, and Exit.. so It's really not THAT big of a deal to have all users only have the English version to navigate with, but would love to get my hands on those for other bigger projects that are on my back burner list.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new

Oh_Man -- makes me wonder if SEN knows anything about the topic
