The title is completely unrelated to the actual map (named after some SNL parody music video I was watching at the moment of naming it).

I made this map because I grew bored of regular Melee Starcraft maps in which you often have to bear with all of your enemies at once even if you're FFA'ing. Basically there's four bases and they're grouped in pairs, and there's a lot of space in the middle so teh compooooters tend to attack their closest enemies first. It can also make a decent map for team Melee (2v2).

I love the design philosophy behind the map, but the map is filled with way too many thin twists and turns, pretty much forcing any player to tech straight to air. It also encourages this due to the annoying choke points at many different levels and the long travel path to the other base. Like I said before though I love how the map is thawed out for the most part on the top/bottom and frozen in the middle.

I like the snow to dry idea. just make it a 1v1 and a lot smaller. You really need to give the player a reason not to just tech to air.

=) as well as open it up, fix the gas issue, and symmetrize it.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings
